Straining credibility

The continued witch-hunt against Ukip goes on, with puff pieces in most MSM outlets trying to stick the knife in one way or another, although they are really straining credibility now. Accusations of racism, corruption, using actors in their adverts (like every other party) the list goes on.

Clearly racist

Mind you, there was a new one today which caught my eye and showed just how bloody stupid the complainer is...

Ukip faced fresh accusations of double standards today amid claims Eastern Europeans have been hired to hand out flyers in its anti-immigration election campaign.
Latvians have been hired by a firm in Croydon to hand out flyers ahead of elections on May 22.
It follows revelations the party used an Irish actor in a poster about Brits missing out on jobs, as David Cameron today stepped up his attack on Ukip, accusing his rivals of not believing the country has a bright future.

Silly thing is, it would have been illegal to advertise to use UK only people to deliver the fliers and I very much doubt Ukip could (or would) ask to vet the staff that an agency would use. Tory MP Gavin Barwell who accused the party of hypocrisy I suspect knows this but chose to make a fool of himself in his quest to make a headline anyway.
You'd think by now the big three would have realised that this campaign of muckraking is having the opposite effect to the one they wanted it's actually rallying support to Ukip and putting people off voting for the big three. There's a sense of circling the wagons from Ukip supporters as well as a rush of support from unexpected quarters (the indigenous working class) who don't see what the odd-ball Ukip candidates as being racist or extremist at all as they live with the bloody problems that the candidates were describing.
There are hints of desperation coming through clearly from the main parties, they clearly are struggling with the concept that a very large minority of people do not like the EU and are being joined by many who simply do not like the mainstream parties and their out of touch policies and rhetoric at all. People are sick and tired of being told all is well when it clearly is not, those same people know just who is to blame as well, it isn't Ukip.

And the smears go on

I suppose it was a given that since Ukip surged in the poll's they would come under increasing scrutiny. And so it came to pass with other parties and the MSM trawling through Ukip candidate tweets to look for controversy, 'revealing' they used actors in their adverts (like the other parties do oddly enough) and wheeling out ex Ukip members to criticise them.

A UKIP candidate has defended tweets in which he said comedian Lenny Henry should emigrate to a "black country" and compared Islam to the Third Reich.
William Henwood, who is standing in a council election, said he did not think the messages were offensive.
He tweeted after Henry said there should be more black and ethnic minority people in creative industries.
UKIP said it was a "non-racist, non-sectarian party whose members are expected to uphold these values".
Mr Henwood told BBC political correspondent Ross Hawkins: "I think if black people come to this country and don't like mixing with white people why are they here? If he (Henry) wants a lot of blacks around go and live in a black country."
On another occasion Mr Henwood tweeted: "Islam reminds me of the 3rd Reich Strength through violence against the citizens."

Oddly enough a lot of ordinary people might just agree with what Mr Henwood said, believing that merit rather than the colour of your skin should be a factor as to whether you should be able to find employment in an industry. He's right about if you want to work with black people you should go where they are in a majority too. Personally I would have no problems with there being more black and ethnic minority people in the creative industries, but only if they got there by merit, not because of their colour or ancestry.
Ukip clearly have a lot of people worried if this is the sort of thing that is coming up in the MSM and I expect more of the same, probably each day as it gets closer to the EU elections.
Thing is though, I don't think these scandals are putting ordinary people off, if anything the accusations and the evidence produced seem to be pretty much in line with what ordinary people think, which is not what the political class do.
Ukip are of course required to remove their odd-balls, which is a pity, they seem to be people I meet in pubs and let off steam as the world is put to rights.
Still at least they remove their odd-balls.

The fear factor

The cosy club of those who like to believe they rule over us has had a bit of a shaking recently with the rise of Ukip and its showing in the polls. They've tried (and will continue to try) smears only for Ukip to get rid of any dodgy candidates far far more quickly than their own thieves and scoundrels. Now they are trying to prevent a party with higher poll ratings than one of the big three from taking part in the leaders debate before a general election...

Ed Miliband last night demanded that Nigel Farage is barred from the leaders’ debates at next year’s General Election.
His call came the day after Ukip leader Mr Farage trounced Nick Clegg in a second debate on Europe.
A senior Tory source indicated that the Conservatives would also seek to block Mr Farage – even though the anti-EU party has been ahead of the Liberal Democrats in the opinion polls for months.
Mr Farage last night accused the two main parties of ‘running scared’.

Yep can't have the upstarts being given airtime and let loose in the cosy club at the top now can we? Farage may not be everyone's cup of tea but he made Clegg look bad (not too difficult) and Clegg made Brown and Cameron look bad so there's a definite fear factor here. Nor are Ukip despite the others claims a one track pony, they do publish a manifesto and it does have domestic and international policies they intend to carry out, not just leave the EU.
Millipede E has only said what all the big three are thinking, I do expect unless something dire happens that he'll get his way, but the publicity they'll give Ukip can only help that party.
Truly I believe those at the top are beginning to feel the tremors of fear that Ukip and their polling are beginning to produce and that possibly, just possibly someone is about to come along and upset the applecart...

Farage 2 Clegg Nil

I rather suspect the boy Clegg is regretting his decision to go head to head with Nigel Farage. I really expected Clegg to do better after the first encounter but frankly Farage wiped the floor with him in a far more personal and bitter exchange of views.

A SNAP poll last night crowned Nigel Farage the winner of his showdowns with Nick Clegg after he triumphed in the second of their live broadcast clashes over Europe.
Voters were even more impressed this week than last week by the anti-Brussels UK Independence Party leader.
After their first joust a week ago on LBC radio, 57 per cent of people surveyed by YouGov thought Mr Farage won with 36 per cent of voters thinking Mr Clegg came out on top.
But after last night’s BBC2 TV clash, YouGov found a massive 68 per cent thought the Ukip man bested his opponent compared to just 27 per cent who thought the Lib Dems Deputy Prime Minister won. Pollsters at ICM found Mr Farage had won by 69 per cent to 31 per cent.
The result was a blow for Mr Clegg as he had instigated the clashes.

Clegg had all the advantages, briefed by civil servants and seemingly given an own goal by Farage's admiration of Putin's statesmanship Iin the Ukraine despite a poll suggesting a good few in the UK agreed with Farage. Yet in the end Clegg's inner weasel won out, he simply does not get what ordinary people are thinking because unlike Farage he doesn't meet them on a day to day basis. Against Caneron  and Milliband he may be fine, but they are political class and inhabit his world whereas Farage does not and it showed when the insults began and the accusations of lies began. In the end people believed Farage if only because we regard him as one of us, though whether that will translate into votes remains to be seen. Still it was nice to see the EUphile cause torn apart by a man of passion.

Always someone else's fault

There's a stupid game out there which involves necking down a strong drink in one gulp whilst on webcam on a dare from friends. It's called Neknominate and as with over indulgence with a lot of things can lead to problems for those doing it, sometimes lethal ones...

The mother of one of the girls involved in a drinking game that left a nine-year-old in hospital has blamed Facebook for the shocking incident.
She said the three girls, aged eight, nine and 11, stole drinks from her cabinet after watching videos of so-called Neknominate stunts on Facebook.
They then went to a shed where Rhiannon Scully downed a dangerous mix of vodka, whisky and orange juice.
The woman, who is the mother of the 11-year-old girl and gave her name only as Mrs Leader, called for Facebook to ban videos of Neknominations. Three people have died taking part in the drinking craze.
‘The NekNomination videos should be banned to protect the children,' she said.
‘It is not appropriate for Facebook to have these videos on the site when children can access them, especially if people have died as a result. I think it is ridiculous.
‘In reality children as young as eight are on Facebook and they can see these videos which inspire them. Facebook should stop allowing them from being shared. As a parent it does worry us that they can see these things so easily.
‘While I try and monitor my daughter’s Facebook I can only delete things my daughter writes, not what she sees.’
She said she allowed her daughter on Facebook, where users should be at least 13, to keep in touch with friends after moving to County Durham from Portsmouth.

So the woman allowed her daughter to use facebook despite being 11 and the girl egged on a friend who was 9 and also using facebook and this is facebook's fault somehow? From what I can tell the girls were also unsupervised at the time too and clearly had free access to the internet at the time. You'd think anyone with even a modicum of sense could spot that this was a disaster waiting to happen? Granted there will be youngsters about on facebook, but you'd hope at least that a responsible parent would only allow them access when they are in the same room?
Naturally there are calls for facebook to do something about it, deal with a problem for those who shouldn't be on facebook in the first place.
Naturally there are no calls to actually deal with the parents who allowed the situation to develop in the first place...

Big brother is blocking you

The Daily Mail is as ever going into it's usual orgiastic 'we've saved the world from paedogeddon' with the announcement that an internet provider is going to automatically block people from stuff they think we don't want to see rather than give us the choice...

BT has announced all new customers will have parental control filters switched on when they subscribe to its broadband service.
The company has offered the free Parental Controls service for a number of years, but this is the first time new customers will have to actively choose whether to turn the filters off.
During the set-up process, a box that turns on the controls - which block a number of sites including pornography, those containing self-harm and violence as well as hate sites - will be automatically ticked.
Subscribers will then have to actively turn the blocks off and instead decide what level of protection - if any - they require.
The company will also extend its filter service to all internet devices including games consoles and tablets. Previously parents could only block potentially harmful sites on desktops and laptops.
BT will also be contacting all of its existing customers from the start of next year, forcing them to make a choice about the level of controls on their broadband.

Whilst not a case of Big Brother is watching you, it's definitely a case of big brother is making damned sure you don't see anything they don't want, unless you switch it off and then have the whole world know you as a pornographer, for if you do switch the filters off, BT will bloody well know about it...
Not that at the moment it's difficult to get around the filters, a quick Google will tell you how and the use of a VPN or proxy server will do the job quite adequately too. Which does seem to suggest that the kids will be OK whilst the parents will be confused as to why they can't watch the Robin Thicke 'Blurred Lines' video on youtube any more.
The thing with this sort of creeping authoritarianism is that people become accustomed not to think for themselves. Parents will assume the internet filter is in place and doing its job without as ever actually checking what their little darlings are up too.
In the end it ought to be our responsibility to monitor what our kids watch, not BT's or the states or especially the Daily Mail's.

Not far right

Far right is a misnomer used by lazy journalists and leftards to denounce groups they see as racist, the groups so accused are often not right anything, racist or doing any real harm. Some are simply nationalist groups, pressure groups or concerned citizens, but if their modus operandi falls foul of what the state or leftards see as unaccepting of political correctness, diversity or multiculturalism with regards to the states pets then the group is inevitably labelled far right. There are however some groups who basically are racist, bigoted barbarians, however labelling them far right again is a misnomer, because a quick check of their credentials shows that they are anything but...

No, what the Germans are looking for is an extreme left group following the Nazi philosophy, not a bunch of free market capitalists with a racist bent.

Parental responsibility

The Mail is off on another of its paedogeddon rants this morning with a warning about Argos and Tesco selling pad style computers to anyone with the cash to buy one.

Newly-released tablet computers from Tesco and Argos could put children at risk of stumbling across porn because they do not come fitted with filters, an expert warned last night.
Tesco has brought out a cheap device called a Hudl, while Argos has introduced MyTablet which is aimed specifically at ‘tweenies’ aged from eight to 13.
Both are expected to be bought by hundreds of thousands of parents for their children at Christmas.

Amazingly enough the Mail doesn't appear to consider that the tablets actually do come with filters, they just need to be switched on. Nor do they appear to believe that it's the job of a parent to monitor what their kids get up to online. The Mail also appear to have missed a massive target in that Apple products don't have preset filters either, but then again I suspect that the Mail is simply obsessed with scare stories as kids rarely stumble upon porn, they actively go looking for it...
Actually a quick check soon tells you that few if any computers are sold with preset filters, the manufacturers seem to believe that if you want to filter something then that's the job of the person who buys it. After all, why make a product that is going to irritate an adult, they tend to be the ones buying the things?
What it boils down to is that paranoid parents will set up the things to filter stuff they don't want their kids seeing (the kids will soon figure out ways around this if so inclined) and those who don't will keep a check on what their kids are up too by occasionally glancing over their shoulders. For those who do neither, well caveat emptor...
If people (or kids) want to look at porn, they'll find a way, filters or not, all parents can do is protect their kids and allow them to be kids for as long as possible. Yet it has to be pointed out that ignorance is not bliss either, education and guidance from good parenting is the key, trying to stop it by blocking it never works because sooner or later they will see it or figure out ways to see it. If they have good guidelines they'll usually end up good people, if not, then a filter won't help.

So not the EDL then?

Not that I'm expecting anything like a retraction or an apology from the various leftard commentators who were determined that the one man race attacks in the UK which left a muslim grandfather dead were anything other than by the EDL, despite most so called attacks being eventually traced to other immigrants or indeed muslims themselves despite the lies put out by Tell MAMA etc.

The mosque attack after the butchery of Lee Rigby that had the words EDL spray painted outside... went very quiet on that one, mostly because it's being investigated as an insurance fraud.
The islamic school fire... went very quiet on that one after arrests were made, couldn't possibly be because the arrests were of pupils there now could it?
All the accusations by the pro islamic Tell Mama group that were held up as an example of an extremist reaction which were debunked by Andrew Gilligan... all fallen by the wayside.
Not that you'll convince a leftard or other that the EDL aren't dangerous extremists despite the alarming lack of evidence that they are no such thing. They know and if they keep digging they'll find the evidence... or make it up as they go along which is actually par for the course.
A lie can be halfway around the world before the truth can get its boots on is a well known saying. Something our politicians, media and the insane left practice daily as people usually read the headlines and never the retraction.

I'd have thought it would be more...

Now I don't like islam, I believe it to be violent, fascistic, totalitarian, genocidal, warmongering, misogynistic, homophobic, medieval, intolerant and somewhat of a supremacist in it's treatment of anyone not a muslim male. That said, I don't have a problem generally with muslims as individuals, it's when they are in groups and essentially being told what to do that causes problems. Certainly there does appear to be something of a hair trigger between ordinary and jihadi and I'm unsure just what causes the switch to flick.

A survey has revealed that many young people distrust Muslims and feel Britain would be better off if there were less of them in the country.
Of the 1,000 young people questioned in a BBC survey, 27 per cent of 18- to 24-year-olds said they didn't trust Muslims, while a similar number said Britain would be better off with fewer Muslims.
It also emerged that 60 per cent thought the British public had a negative image of Muslims and 44 per cent said Muslims do not have the same values as the rest of the population.
A total of 16 per cent said they didn't trust Hindus or Sikhs, 15 per cent said they didn't trust Jewish people, while 13 per cent and 12 per cent said they didn't trust Buddhists and Christians respectively.

No doubt the leftards in society now believe they have a major problem with young people being virulently racist, despite islam or muslim not being a race as such despite the best efforts of some to equate the religion with race.

The Government group blames negative media coverage of Muslims for stoking anti-Islam sentiment.

Yes, the media clearly should not have shown burning poppies, bombings in London, Boston and New York, butchery in Woolwich, Abu Hamza, Samantha Lewthwaite, Bali bombings, Al Quaeda, or show stuff like these pictures.

 

Yes, clearly if the media didn't show stuff like this or report the truth then muslims would be viewed much more kindly by the young and society in general. 
Well I've got news for the islamists and assorted leftards and libtards who cannot see the wood for the trees, you reap what you sow and islam has been sowing the seeds of its own problem in the eyes of others for decades now and people have reached the stage where they no longer are prepared to accept the 'religion of peace' platitude as favoured by the hard of thinking and lying muslim spokesperson. 
Islam is not, never has been and never will be a religion of peace. If anything most muslims are good people in spite of their religion, not because of it. Nor does islam mean 'peace' it means submission, and most of us are not prepared to submit to the vile creed it is.

Most of the worlds attention is focussed on the islamic attack in Kenya today and the storming of the building to remove the barbarians holding hostages within.
Yet oddly enough a quick scan of the web pages of the BBC, The Mail, The Express and The Telegraph shows that Kenya is only one part of a problem with islam and muslims...

Two bombs outside a church in Peshawar in Pakistan have killed at least 75 people, in one of the worst attacks on Christians in the country.
Two suicide bombers blew themselves up as worshippers were coming out of the city's historic All Saints church after attending Sunday Mass, police say.

Britain's first Muslim free school is controlled by religious hardliners who ban children from singing or reading fairy tales and force staff to wear headscarves - according to the former head teacher and deputy who claim they were forced to leave.
Andrew Cutts-McKay resigned from his role as head of al Madinah School in Derby in August, two months after deputy Suzanne Southerland stepped down from her post.
Both allege they were 'bullied and sidelined' by members of the school's trust, which is predominantly Muslim. The school strongly denies the pair's claims.

A FAKE wedding scam aimed at letting Pakistani men enter the UK after marrying in apparently lavish ceremonies overseas was uncovered after photographs of the ceremonies showed different brides and grooms wearing the same clothes.

Ozman Mirza, a British broker of Pakistani origin at Tradition Securities, says white colleagues yelled abuse at him across the trading floor and called him a "filthy f****** Indian" and "curry muncher". One senior broker even made the the Nazi salute, it is claimed.
Mr Davis said in a statement: "I am extremely surprised and shocked that the claimant's Tribunal claims contains serious allegations of racial abuse against me personally and other members of the FX Forwards desk.
"I wish to make it absolutely clear that I have never used any form of racist language towards the claimant or any of my colleagues. Nor have I ever heard or witnessed any members of my desk behaving in this manner. Had I done so, I would have reported it.
"The claimant never made any formal or informal complaints of racism or otherwise against me or my team."

Perfect examples of how muslims deal with and react too anyone other than themselves, although muslim on muslim civil war is also the biggest killer of muslims worldwide.
In Pakistan we see how muslims view any other religion than their own, they are literally cattle to be culled as and when muslims have a grievance... a pretty much ongoing situation worldwide as far as I can tell.
In the UK we see how muslims once they get into positions of power and authority proceed to put their belief system and ideals into place no matter the law or the legitimacy of their position.
By fake visa's we have an example of immigration jihad where although facilitated by Czech's,  male Pakistanis (and you can bet they aren't the bombed out minority Christians) are being allowed into the UK to spread their barbarism and undercut our own employment system. There are some libtard leftists who want an amnesty for illegals, I believe Stalin called those who would set the scene for their own downfall as 'useful idiots' it does seem apt after all.
Finally we have the grievance culture where a muslim once his lucrative job comes under threat immediately plays the racist card. It may be that he was abused, though the examples he gives are rather vague and no one else seems to remember them. Still, playing the race/religion card is always a good step, it almost immediately puts people on the defensive and makes them look the guilty party despite the failings of the accuser.
Four new outlets, four stories easily found about how islam behaves in the UK and worldwide and that's without the headline story of the siege in Kenya.
Yet we are constantly told that islam isn't like this by those who purport to lead us. An excuse growing thinner by the day.
The EDL leader Tommy Robinson (Stephen Yaxley Lennon) however nailed this when interviewed over the Lee Rigby atrocity when he said that 'this is islam' and as for the four stories above, truly 'this is islam' and it's only going to get worse until islam is dealt with once and for all.

Utter bollocks

There's a blog post in the Telegraph from Tim Stanley who appears to believe that islam is way more English than the EDL.

Whither the articulate nutters? Yesterday I got into a Twitter spat with the EDL's Tommy Robinson (isn't Twitter fun? Please don't ban it, Caitlin) and I'm not very impressed. He was angry with a piece I wrote about him linking to an anti-Semitic website, and this cued an evening of tweets accusing me of not understanding the plight of Luton and how I obviously hate the English working class. It's all predictable stuff, but the latter point does interest me. I've often suspected that the EDL's grip on the popular imagination comes from its claim to represent what remains of the native proletariat – and a lot of middle class folks in the media think that maybe they do, which is why they invite Tommy onto TV shows to share his toilet wall history of Islam with the nation. But they're wrong. The EDL's definition of what constitutes the English working class is a classic case of projection.
By contrast, most Muslims cling on to values that were once definitively English and that we could do with rediscovering. Islam instructs its followers to cherish their families, to venerate women, to treat strangers kindly, to obey the law of any country they are in (yes, yes, it really does), and to give generously. One recent poll found that British Muslims donate more money to charity than any other religious group.

Strangely enough I'll bet there are a few of us who have linked to sites that we later wished we hadn't or failed to read the full post. This however does not make Tommy an anti-semite, merely mistaken.
As for the rest...
Islam cherishes family, which is why their men groom young white women because they aren't family or muslims.
Islam tells its followers to venerate women whilst allowing them to beat the crap out of them and the males deciding such matters as contraception, stonings, divorce proceedings etc. all cultural, all islamic all barbaric.
As for giving generously, well they do, do zakat, but they only give to muslim charities and perpetuate poverty in islamic shitholes because the poor have no incentive to better themselves.

Of course, I'll be labelled a snob for writing all of this. So, to reassure the critics, I rang up my father – the most working class Englishman I know – and asked him what he thought of the EDL. "Idiots", he said.

I rather think the father is an idiot, left wing (classes as the same) or has never run into islam or seen its effect on a society which much of the EDL have.
I don't even think Stanley's a snob, I think he's pig ignorant of the devastating effect that islam has had on working class communities. I think he has the wishy washy golden view of islam as held by the NUJ and the left.
I think he's ignored that 12% of the prison population are muslims against 4% of the population.
I think he's choosing to ignore the grooming scandal by muslims sweeping the country.
I think he's ignoring the shariah zones and gay bashing going on in places like tower hamlets.
I think he's ignored Charity walkers being abused in 'muslim areas'

Grinning brazenly as he lifts up his shirt to reveal an inflammatory image of a mosque being blown up, this man was pictured openly with his offending tattoo at a far-right rally.
The man, who is believed to be a supporter of the English Defence League, is understood to have been pictured at the group's rally, in Birmingham, at the weekend.

Since when has sporting a tattoo been a crime?
Anyone else think that the tattoo doesn't look particularly real?
It seems a bit odd for the Daily Mail to discover that the EDL don't really like islamists nor islamism, one would think that they'd already know this the amount of biased articles they produce on the EDL.
There are some out there who seem to believe this is pretty much the same as burning a flag. Doesn't strike me as being the same though, it's not like he damaged anything but himself if the tattoo is real and not just done with a marker pen.
The Mail also tries to give the impression (as usual) that all the trouble was caused by the EDL.

A 20-year-old woman has been charged with violent disorder and was due to appear in court earlier this week.

The woman is of Pakistani descent and attacked the police as they led her away for screaming abuse at the EDL whilst waving a Pakistani flag.

Two men were also charged with offences connected to the EDL rally and a counter-protest in Birmingham city centre.

Shockingly neither of the two were EDL, but the UAF numpties who were throwing bricks.

Officers made a total of 20 arrests, mainly for public order breaches, after being pelted with cans, bottles, stones and other missiles during sporadic disorder.

Two, I repeat two of the arrests were EDL for drunk and disorderly, all the rest were the counter-protestors.
Personally I think the idea of the tattoo is silly, however it's his body and his right (just) under civil liberties. There are a lot worse things going on such as the grooming of underage girls, arson, (dis)honour crimes, child abuse and terrorism going on in the islamic community.
Yet we have the Mail up in arms over a tattoo.

A waste of time and money

I'm sure most here are familiar at least with the term strawman when it comes to debate and discussion. It generally means...  a type of argument and is an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent's position.
There is however another term or common phrase... 'you cannot sue a man of straw'
It means that you should not attempt to sue a man of straw as they will have no money to pay for the case even if you win.

WELSH rock heroes Manic Street Preachers are said to be considering legal action after the English Defence League (EDL) used one of their songs to promote a rally.

Correction, the EDL didn't, an individual of the EDL used the song, the EDL have their own public relations people and the use of the song wasn't sanctioned by the EDL.

'If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next,' which became the group's first number one single in 1998, was used as the soundtrack to a video on the EDL's website.

Indeed it did, it was linked too from YouTube, as are a lot of videos made by patriots and opponents of the EDL. Linking to an official source generally means that any legal action will be pointless or useless. Incidentally Youtube haven't pulled it as of writing.

EDL supporters clearly misunderstood the song's sentiment, as it is actually a call to arms for anti-fascists and was inspired by the rise of General Franco in the Spanish civil war.

Um no, EDL supporters recognise a fascistic totalitarian control system masquerading as a religion when they see it. Islam is fascistic, hence the producer used a song about fascism...
The producer used the song to highlight the beheading of Lee Rigby, if we tolerate this, then our children will be next... get it?
I know the guy who produced the video, he comments on the EDL forum where I'm a moderator. He he still lives with his parents and has no savings hence the man of straw comment...

Wonder how they'll blame this on the EDL?

Since the horrendous butchery of Lee Rigby there have been several attempts by media and politicians to try and shift the blame or ameliorate the circumstances around it, from the risible 'islam is a religion of peace' or 'this isn't the real islam' to the EDL (and other groups) are just as big a bunch of extremists and should be treated in the same way as the people butchering, bombing, abusing, calling for violence, raping our kids etc. Despite the facts that mostly the EDL has been on the receiving end of any such abuse and violence, still why let such a minor item like facts get in the way of the narrative. After all, it's much easier to blame the EDL for torching a mosque and print a very minor retraction weeks if not months later which no-one sees or remembers. Particularly as the most recent example had someone spray EDL next to it (It's looking more like an insurance job now, but no one is interested) Or casting aspersions that the EDL are suspected for burning down an islamic school (4 teens arrested, the locals however know that the teens are pupils of the school, not white English even though the MSM will not announce this)

Homes near to a mosque in Walsall are being evacuated following the discovery of a suspicious item, West Midlands Police say.
Army bomb disposal experts are currently at the scene and have this morning ordered the evacuation of around 39 homes in the immediate vicinity of the mosque.
The measure is precautionary while a further examination of the item is undertaken.
Police were called to the Rutter Street address at around 10.45pm last night following the discovery in the grounds of the building.
The item was then brought inside the building by a member of the public, police said.
The area has been cordoned off.

Now it's unlikely to be anything other than a hoax, but you can bet that out there the narrative is being prepared to somehow twist this into blaming it on those the state wishes to call extremists. Despite the fact that those 'extremists' have no history of bombing, burning or violence save only if being attacked themselves.
You can pretty much bet that if this is an improvised explosive device (IED) that the first real headlines will read 'Are far right extremists bombing mosques?' Despite the fact that the EDL and most of the groups they wish to label 'far right' are no such thing, or indeed far anything other than exasperated at the state and its minions pandering to an alien fascistic totalitarian violent control system masquerading as a religion.
The truth is getting out there though, it's even starting to percolate down into sections of the MSM and a few politicians. But don't hold your breath on anything changing yet. Expect a few more 'outrages' first before the state admits openly that there is a problem, even then I wouldn't expect them to admit said problem was caused by and exacerbated by the state.

Islamophobia as various politicians and the associated MSM and liberal left like to call attacks against muslims (whether there's a racist/religious angle or not has gotten a bit of bad press recently. The so called Tell Mama group who announced a massive increase in anti-muslim attacks was forced to backpeddle furiously when examination of their data proved that most of the attacks were simply twitter comments and indeed some came from sources outside the country. However it's gotten worse for Tell Mama as their government funding is now to be stopped...

A controversial project claiming to measure anti-Muslim attacks will not have its government grant renewed after police and civil servants raised concerns about its methods. The project, called Tell Mama, claimed that there had been a “sustained wave of attacks and intimidation” against British Muslims after the killing of Drummer Lee Rigby, with 193 “Islamophobic incidents” reported to it, rising to 212 by last weekend. The group’s founder, Fiyaz Mughal, said he saw “no end to this cycle of violence”, describing it as “unprecedented”. The claims were unquestioningly repeated in the media. Tell Mama and Mr Mughal did not mention, however, that 57 per cent of the 212 reports referred to activity that took place only online, mainly offensive postings on Twitter and Facebook, or that a further 16 per cent of the 212 reports had not been verified. Not all the online abuse even originated in Britain. Contrary to the group’s claim of a “cycle of violence” and a “sustained wave of attacks”, only 17 of the 212 incidents, 8 per cent, involved the physical targeting of people and there were no attacks on anyone serious enough to require medical treatment.

Once again proving that there are lies, damned lies and statistics islamist propaganda.
The left loved Tell Mama it confirmed all that they claimed about the so called 'far right' and their persecution of their muslim pets islamic brothers and sisters. The problem was of course all the violence and intimidation was coming from their side so they desperately needed propaganda from Tell Mama to counter the actual facts of what was happening in reality.
Of course when you produce facts and figures, you have to detail the sources and unfortunately for Tell Mama and its supporters, producing data that appeared to have no basis in reality or was twisted beyond its natural reality appears to have come round and bit them in the bum.
It's not the only reason that Tell Mama are in trouble of course, it's founder appears to be a man of very little tolerance other than where the money was coming from as it appeared rather than reporting incidents, Tell mama were being pro-active in trying to shut down debate on any subject to do with islam or oddly enough Israel. Though as the left and muslims have a major problem with israel, perhaps not so surprising...

Tell Mama has also been using its budget to threaten members of the public with libel actions for criticising it on Twitter.
In mid-May, before Woolwich, one Jewish activist, Ambrosine Chetrit, received a threatening letter from solicitors after she tweeted that “Tell Mama are sitting on Twitter on the EDL hashtag, threatening anyone and everyone whose comments they do not like about Islam”.
Tell Mama also objected to a tweet in which Ms Chetrit said it was “trying to close down pro-Israel [Twitter] accounts daily”.

Some 1200 extra officers were on the streets to apparently protect the command and control centres of the islamic barbarians today. Makes you wonder where they can get these from and yet have to wait 20 mins before coming to get the said islamic barbarians who behead an innocent man on the streets.

Officers were guarding 'key locations' in London, including religious venues and transport hubs, Metropolitan Police assistant commissioner Mark Rowley said.
Leave for officers has been cancelled following ugly scenes in Woolwich involving the English Defence League and a spate of attacks on mosques elsewhere in England on Wednesday night.
English Defence League supporters clashed with police near Woolwich Arsenal railway station just hours after the bloody attack on Lee Rigby. A group of around 250 men gathered at The Queen's Arms pub in Burrage Road, where they sang nationalist songs.
The mob then began throwing missiles at police officers, who responded with baton charges, witnesses said.
Elsewhere, a 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted arson and possession of an offensive weapon after walking into a mosque with a knife and an explosive device in Braintree, Essex.
The secretary of the mosque, Sikander Saleemy, said it was 'some sort of revenge attack'. He added: 'We absolutely condemn what happened in Woolwich, but it had nothing to do with us.
'It was an appalling act of terror – but it wasn't Islamic in any way. I wish it wasn't described like that, because sadly people will now start to blame Muslims.'

Ok, point 1) The EDL do not target mosques, never have, never will despite a lot of claims to the contrary, the only people convicted of targeting a mosque at an EDL demo were actually members of the UAF.
Point 2) Beheading and slitting the throat of a victim is an islamic method, despite the denial from the mosque secretary, people are blaming muslims because IT WAS MUSLIMS THAT DID IT!
Point 3) The Mail is a bit coy (downright lying) about what happened in Woolwich with the EDL, the police attempted to physically move on a peaceful demo with their batons and were then attacked because of this, not the other way round despite the weird witness claim.
You'd almost think the police and government were more scared of the EDL and ordinary people wanting to show their revulsion at the crime than they are of those who behead soldiers on our streets.
Julia's article below this one is worth reading about the government and the powers that be using the act to try and control us even more rather than actually deal with the real issue of the barbarians amongst us, who despite the claims of the government, police and the Daily Mail are not the EDL.

Enrichment

There are those who insist that our society has been enriched by mass uncontrolled immigration. A good few of us disagree, we're often called racist/fascist/bigots by those who insist that we're wrong. The problem that those of us who disagree have with the issue is the 'mass uncontrolled' part of the issue, not immigration as such. We tend to believe in integration rather than multiculturalism, we aren't opposed to immigrant groups remembering their roots, but we don't want them bringing their entire society with them and creating ghetto's where they speak their own language exclusively and demand that we have to adapt to them rather than the far more natural adapting to the majority. However those who are in power tend to see things differently because sadly they don't get to live with the actual problems...

A man has been killed and two others were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds following a "serious incident" understood to involve a serving soldier.
Several witnesses described seeing a "beheading" while another described seeing a man wearing a Help for Heroes T-shirt being attacked with a machete-style knife and dumped in a south-east London street.
One witness, identified as James, said he and his partner saw two black men attack a young man aged around 20 in a Help for Heroes T-shirt with kitchen knives like he was "a piece of meat". "They were hacking at this poor guy, literally," he told LBC radio. "They were hacking at him, chopping him, cutting him." Fighting back tears, he added: "These two guys were crazed. They were just animals. They dragged him from the pavement and dumped his body in the middle of the road and left his body there."
He said after the "horrendous" attack, the two men, in their 20s, just stood around, waving knives and a gun, even asking people nearby to take pictures of them "as if they wanted to be on TV or something". "They were oblivious to anything, they were more worried about having their photo taken, running up and down the road," he said. "They had no intention of running off or leaving or anything. In my opinion, they were waiting for the police to arrive to be shot by the police. That's the only thing I can think. It's horrendous what they were doing to that guy." Some "brave" women tried to shield the man on the ground from them, he added.He also said it was 20 minutes before armed police arrived at the scene. "When the armed police came flying around the corner, the man with the beanie hat, the tall guy, he charged at the police vehicle,"

I believe we could so easily do without this kind of enrichment.
Details at this stage are of course sketchy, though the pattern does appear to fit the profile of certain groups who are inordinately fond of guns and knives and even had their own police task force known as Trident, which appears to have been disbanded though the money to deal with such problems still seems to be pouring in despite no real effect as far as I can tell other than enriching those who are doing good and of course various community leaders who appear to lead nothing.
It really does come to something when 123 people are stabbed to death in London a year alone mainly by black youths and/or foreign criminals. 54 Muslim grooming gangs are about to be raided by police around the country for raping white children. Hundreds of white people have been killed by non whites yet the media only want to talk about Stephen Lawrence.
Amazingly enough though if you point this out, guess who is causing a problem?

With anti-EU party UKIP set to make a significant breakthrough today, David Cameron has reinforced his commitment to hold a referendum on Britain’s future in Europe.
The Prime Minister said yesterday he was prepared to consider legislation that would guarantee an in/out referendum if he wins the general election in 2015.
More than 100 Conservative MPs have urged Mr Cameron to back legislation on a referendum in this Parliament – even if Labour and the Liberal Democrats conspire to vote it down.
Mr Cameron also sought to reassure core Tory voters by acknowledging frustration with the slow pace of change on immigration policy, and promised measures in the next few weeks to limit immigrants’ access to welfare and the NHS.
Tory and Labour strategists expect UKIP to perform strongly in today’s council polls, taking seats from both parties, and to come second in a Commons by-election in the South Shields seat vacated by David Miliband. One poll yesterday suggested UKIP could take as much as 22 per cent of the vote in local elections and significantly limit the progress made by Labour.

Thing is though, Ukip are taking just as many votes from those considered traditional Labour voters than they are Tories. Why? Well apart from the fact that the various parties went about acting as if they owned the votes people were casting and treating them with contempt. The main reason is that Ukip are starting to be acknowledged as the only party prepared to do something about the status quo situation where the various parties are run by the political classes for the political classes. Ukip have said they'll deal with immigration, Ukip have said they'll deal with the EU, Ukip have more or less said they'll put the people who live here first and foremost.
Not one of the other parties have said this. Individual members might have, but the parties, no.
Also a lot of people suspect that any referenda on the EU will be a complete stitch up by the political classes. A vote for Ukip means no referendum, just a phased withdrawal from the EU.
Cheaper for one thing, less messy for another.
As it is, I'm not bothered who you vote for, all I'll say on the matter is that a vote for the big three as it were is a vote to continue the system that has wrecked this country inside and out.
I'll never vote for them again.

Just common sense really

There's been a poll (yes another one) in which the public were asked about press regulation (how come no one ever asks me?) the answer was pretty unsurprising, well unsurprising to me and probably you.

A clear majority of the public wants politicians kept out of a new system of Press regulation, a poll suggests.
It showed that only 16 per cent believe that MPs and peers should have the power to change the terms of a Royal Charter enshrining a new watchdog that will have the power to issue £1million fines and require prominent corrections.
Sixty-seven per cent – a huge margin – said the new system should be set up in a way that does not give politicians the final say, the basis of an industry proposal put forward to rival a cross-party plan.
The Royal Charter agreed by politicians in a late-night deal in Ed Miliband’s office would allow changes to be made in future only if two-thirds of both Houses of Parliament agree.
The public also believes that there should be a public consultation on proposals to establish a new system, something the Government has refused.
Only 12 per cent agree that the public should be denied a say, while 76 per cent believe ‘the Royal Charter should be subject to consultation’.
Voters also agreed by a large margin – 64 per cent to 36 per cent – that they were proud that the UK is currently regarded around the world as a model of Press freedom.

It's not that the public don't want to see some form of regulation, probably based on self regulation. It's that once again the public are announcing to the world that they simply do not trust politicians to have any say in regulation, based mostly on the suspicion that sooner or later politicians would try to hide behind some form of press regulation by adding amendments to any regulatory body laws.
After all, MP's have form on trying to use the law and legislation to hide their misdeeds, it's doubtful we'd hear anything about their arrant gross thievery if they did have a say on whether or not the charter could or should be changed.
So, the people are saying that politicians are simply not to be trusted with regulating the press. Hard to argue really, it kind of fits my view too. Though unlike most people I wouldn't want to see any press regulation. We actually have laws which could (and should) have been used in those cases which came up in certain pressure groups demands to regulate the press. Phone hacking is a crime, prosecutions could and should have been made without a lobbying circus demanding regulation for something which was a crime anyway.
Still, at least the majority agree with me about the need to keep politicians away from any levers of power...
