Utter bollocks

There's a blog post in the Telegraph from Tim Stanley who appears to believe that islam is way more English than the EDL.

Whither the articulate nutters? Yesterday I got into a Twitter spat with the EDL's Tommy Robinson (isn't Twitter fun? Please don't ban it, Caitlin) and I'm not very impressed. He was angry with a piece I wrote about him linking to an anti-Semitic website, and this cued an evening of tweets accusing me of not understanding the plight of Luton and how I obviously hate the English working class. It's all predictable stuff, but the latter point does interest me. I've often suspected that the EDL's grip on the popular imagination comes from its claim to represent what remains of the native proletariat – and a lot of middle class folks in the media think that maybe they do, which is why they invite Tommy onto TV shows to share his toilet wall history of Islam with the nation. But they're wrong. The EDL's definition of what constitutes the English working class is a classic case of projection.
By contrast, most Muslims cling on to values that were once definitively English and that we could do with rediscovering. Islam instructs its followers to cherish their families, to venerate women, to treat strangers kindly, to obey the law of any country they are in (yes, yes, it really does), and to give generously. One recent poll found that British Muslims donate more money to charity than any other religious group.
Strangely enough I'll bet there are a few of us who have linked to sites that we later wished we hadn't or failed to read the full post. This however does not make Tommy an anti-semite, merely mistaken.
As for the rest...
Islam cherishes family, which is why their men groom young white women because they aren't family or muslims.
Islam tells its followers to venerate women whilst allowing them to beat the crap out of them and the males deciding such matters as contraception, stonings, divorce proceedings etc. all cultural, all islamic all barbaric.
As for giving generously, well they do, do zakat, but they only give to muslim charities and perpetuate poverty in islamic shitholes because the poor have no incentive to better themselves.
Of course, I'll be labelled a snob for writing all of this. So, to reassure the critics, I rang up my father – the most working class Englishman I know – and asked him what he thought of the EDL. "Idiots", he said.
I rather think the father is an idiot, left wing (classes as the same) or has never run into islam or seen its effect on a society which much of the EDL have.
I don't even think Stanley's a snob, I think he's pig ignorant of the devastating effect that islam has had on working class communities. I think he has the wishy washy golden view of islam as held by the NUJ and the left.
I think he's ignored that 12% of the prison population are muslims against 4% of the population.
I think he's choosing to ignore the grooming scandal by muslims sweeping the country.
I think he's ignoring the shariah zones and gay bashing going on in places like tower hamlets.
I think he's ignored Charity walkers being abused in 'muslim areas'
'They told us that they hated dogs and told us to get out of the car park. The children were petrified and asked why these people were calling me a s***'

Victoria Ellis, 36, wife of Steven Ellis
All terribly English? No?

All in all I think Tim Stanley is possibly the most ignorant man on the planet with regard to his views about the EDL.
No wonder comments on his blog piece are closed.

There's an app for that

There are people out there who value Apple products, comparing them to the (supposedly) inferior mass market products out there whom they claim are mere pretenders to the quality product that Apple produce.
And there are those like me who believe it's over-priced, over-hyped and under-supported compared to the mass market products out there. Which is why you'll never see me with an iPhone, iPad or Mac computer. I prefer stuff that has 90% of the software market written for it and am prepared to deal with the odd glitch that comes my way.
Mail.
The iPhone 5 is the slowest smartphone among the best selling brands on the market, consumer watchdog tests claim.
Technical tests to measure processing and memory speed ranked the Apple handset bottom of seven of the most popular phones on the market in the UK.
It is slower than both the main Samsung models as well as rivals from Google, Sony, HTC and Blackberry for popular tasks such as playing games, editing pictures or using apps.
And the top ranked phone, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is almost twice as fast, according to consumer champions Which? who carried out industry-recognised laboratory tests.
The findings will be a blow to those iPhone 5 fans who have wrongly assumed their trendy mobile, the best-selling in the world, is also the best.
My only experience of an iPhone was replacing the screen of my son-in-law to be's phone, which was rather simple, though the youtube video makes it appear to be far more torturous than it actually is. Essentially I couldn't believe how fragile the damned thing is compared to my old Samsung model which has survived 4 years in an engineering environment and still has the original bought screen protector on it despite being dropped, covered in grinding spatter and once dipped in an ultrasonic cleaning bath.
Still I doubt learning that the iPhone is a slow phone will deter the Apple fans out there, it's a bit of a status symbol after all. Same with the other products Apple produce at greatly inflated prices.
Just goes to show that the name is far more important than the price or performance...

Deciding before the facts are known

It was interesting going this morning as I checked over various bloggers out there both left and right. It wasn't so much what the actual blogger said, but what the commenters said or rather wanted to believe.
The Boston marathon bomb was a horrific act of terrorism, no one has yet admitted who did it or why, yet entrenched views came out in various places that blogged on the issue as well as the MSM. People jumped to conclusions in other words.
The bloggers to the right, were possibly a bit more cautious having been caught out by the likes of Breivik in the past when what appeared to be a standard islamic outrage turned out to be something else entirely. Yet still most commenters of a right bent assumed the bombing was islamic in nature.
The left however were convinced almost to a person that the bomber was a right wing nut influenced by the Republican Party of the USA. Though quite why they think a right wing nut was influenced by the Republicans is anyone's guess, but when it comes to muckspreading the left believe the wider the spray the better the results. Some out there still believe Breivik was an EDL member.
The fact though are, that we simply do not know and the investigation is currently getting under way. Precautions have been taken as in a couple of Arabic men were escorted off a plane, but again it might just have been passenger paranoia, a very understandable reaction though.A Saudi man was also arrested at the scene after acting suspiciously and had burns and wounds, but again he may just be an innocent victim.
In the USA it was also tax assesment day which occasionally triggers protests by right wingers who hate paying (too much) tax. However a marathon is not one of their usual targets, it's normally a government building.
Speculation is going to be rife over the next few days, you can read various comments online from people who are convinced they know who and why.
The facts however remain at variance with what's being said by the authorities. They don't know and if they have their suspicions, they aren't saying.
We should do the same.

They have a right, as do we...

The Thatcher legacy rumbles on in the press, on social media such as twitter and Facebook as well as in various blogs. What can certainly be accurately said is that the woman certainly produced strong feelings in many, from adulation to vitriolic hate, despite being out of power for nigh on 23 years.

Never forgive, never forget
There has been arranged a ceremonial funeral (rather than a state one) with a Falklands war theme running through it perhaps the one even which most find it in their hearts to believe in this Thatcher got it dead right. as for the rest, well it depends on your point of view...
Telegraph.
The woman behind an internet campaign to organise street parties to "celebrate" the death of Baroness Thatcher can be named as Romany Blythe, a drama teacher from Brighton.
Romany Blythe, 45, created a group on Facebook called The Witch is Dead followed by more than 5,000 people, calling for “demonstrations of disapproval” across the country.
A number of places on the list were locations of riots and demonstrations that took place across the country on Monday, including Bristol city centre and George Square in Glasgow. Blythe is a drama teacher with a workshop company that visits secondary schools. She specialises in “facilitating workshops for young, excluded and potentially criminalised individuals and uses drama techniques she has developed to explore resolution of conflict and oppression,” according to the company's website.
Actually just reading her profile on there tells you pretty much all you need to know about a woman who doesn't really have any experience of the real world.
However she does have the right to organise her protests as do others who cannot forgive Thatcher for dealing with socialisms poisoning of the UK via the unions and militant tendency. Nor do I blame them for holding onto their hatred, it's their right, however silly it would appear to be to many others.
And that's the rub isn't it?
They have the right to trumpet their hate, yet many of them would attempt to stop others from going into mindless triumphalism
One of the things we've lost in this country is a right...
That's the right to face up to the consequences of our actions. Now say this woman did hold a street party (Bet Brighton Council forego a elf n safety review) you can bet the police will step in if say such a party came under threat from a counter-protest. Same if it were vice versa, though the English at least don't tend to celebrate death as such which is why the leftist parties look distinctly churlish or even moronic.
The people holding such parties will be expecting to be protected if they come under threat because of their actions. These would be the same people who in the past tried to stop Nick Griffin speaking on Question Time, who attempt violence during their own protests, who issue threats on social media and generally believe that everyone should believe as they do.
They want their rights, but forget we have rights too. They expect the full protection of the law, but protest if the law protects others.
Hypocrites all.

Truth hurts?

There's outrage and then there's faux outrage when people believe something should outrage them, no more so when the high and mighty run into the truth and don't know how to handle it...
Mail.
A Tory MP has sparked controversy after claiming ‘gangs of Muslim men are going round and raping white kids at this moment in time’.
Kris Hopkins, MP for Keighley, said the extraordinary claim was a ‘fact’ and urged government agencies to tackle the problem.
But he has been criticised by Muslim leaders in his constituency, who said he overstepped the mark during a Commons debate.
Mr Hopkins, a former leader of Bradford city council, also claimed Muslim men were ‘fundamentally’ sexist towards women, and politicians had to challenge behaviour and culture.
Speaking in a parliamentary debate on child sexual exploitation, Mr Hopkins claimed mainstream parties had failed by not speaking out about the racial and cultural aspect to some abuse cases and extremists groups had filled the vacuum.
He told MPs: ‘The British National Party will use grooming as a key element of its campaign in the Rotherham election campaign, which will start soon.
One does wonder why the so called Muslim community thinks he's overstepped the mark, you'd think that the trials of over a hundred Muslim males so far would have alarm bells ringing in their community as well as others that there is a 'BIG' problem in there.
He's also right that the mainstream parties have let the people of this country down by not dealing with the issue in anything like an honest manner. Too many times we've heard the excuse of not wishing to offend, or cultural differences, or even the age old community cohesion that allowed the abuse of our young underage women for so long in areas where these communities abound.
For far too long politicians of the mainstream parties have been pandering to minorities in order to gain their so called block votes, this has to end. Honest criticism over the actions of many in those communities is the only way in which anything can be put right and trying to shut up those who criticise simply hardens the attitudes of the rest of us who see the wholesale abuse and wonder how they're getting away with it. Not that I expect those who tried to brush it under the carpet ever to be brought to account, though God knows they ought to be.
Perhaps if there were more honest politicians we might see a revival in the number of people prepared to vote.
I'm not going to hold my breath though.

Scares over

Well all those people who went into hysterics over the 'evidence' (or lack of) that using a mobile phone would somehow end up microwaving your brain can breathe a sigh of relief as a study shows that the daft buggers should have known better.
Express.
MOBILE phones were yesterday given a clean bill of health after scientists found no evidence linking them to cancer. Research concluded low-level electromagnetic fields from phones and transmitters do not increase the risk of health problems.
It flies in the face of some studies which also linked mobile use to male infertility.
The Mobile Operators Association welcomed the Norwegian Institute of Public Health report.
It said: “It is consistent with the findings of the overwhelming body of evidence from a huge number of studies over the past two decades.”
Not that I expect people to believe this, there is a lot of evidence out there that electromagnetic energy can cause problems with your body, though admittedly it has to do with standing in front of radar masts and next to tv transmission masts. There are always scare stories out there the measles, Mumps, Rubella combined injection was one, sitting too close to the tv is another as is going blind from the practice of Onanism.
What's happening now though is that people are becoming jaded or inured to the efforts of so called experts and the state to scare us into doing things their way. Did the scare of you head exploding stop people using mobiles? Well no, other than a few parents panicking and removing their little darlings mobiles from them whilst ignoring the microwaves, computer monitors and tv's which also give off electromagnetic radiation.
There are simply too many scare stories these days, which is a bit worrying as one day a real scare might happen and we'll ignore it and die. The MSM are to a certain extent to blame, they'll big up any story they believe will get them viewing numbers.
But in the end time will tell and we're still here, still going no matter what they tell us.
Till the next big scare of course...

Quote of the month

A very lovely lady from the EDL forum pointed me to this article...

Standpoint.
" I shan't miss some locals' assumptions that, being a white woman, if I was outside after dark, as I occasionally was, usually to walk the few metres between my house and the church, I must be a prostitute eager to give them a blow job"
A brilliant summary from the vicars wife of an inner city parish struggling and losing against a tide of immigration from the middle east. The full article is well worth a read and places in context the real destruction that multiculturalism is putting on the embattled native population of England. It also shows the mind set of those who took it upon themselves to groom young girls from any faith other than their own for sexual purposes because at root they don't see women as equal to men and particularly don't see women of other faiths or beliefs as even being particularly human, simply something to use and abuse.
Yet even now after all the publicity over the cases you still have some out there desperately trying to excuse these vile acts or shift the blame to all. Despite mounting evidence that it is endemic in certain communities.
This is a statement issued by the organisation that ran the 'islamophobia and racism' UAF conference - the conference where the prestigious speakers ripped up the photos of black people in EDL, and attacked the Jew, Pakistani, homo and cameraman who had "stormed" the conference by paying at the door.

Link.
Jack Straw chose to make a damaging and unsubstantiated intervention, whipping up the Islamophobic responses to these cases. In a television interview he claimed both that these crimes are rife in the Muslim community as their cultural background means they do not have a sexual outlet, and – most shockingly – that they target white girls in particular as they are seen as ‘easy meat’.
Unsubstantiated? The guys doing this and others arrested were all from the Pakistani Muslim community, if you want to check out the MPAC forums, you'll find lots of evidence of them trying to shift the blame as well in some instances that they think those poor girls were asking for it.

There's something rotten going on at the heart of England, it's something vile introduced by politicians who allowed unrestricted immigration into our country. It's something evil protected by those who believe that multiculturalism works. It's been ignored by the mainstream media for years, it's caused communities to disintegrate, ghettoism, intolerance, misogyny, homophobia, prostitution and a belief that it is above criticism and presents a silent front to all who investigate its misdemeanour's, seeking only to excuse or shift blame. It's called Islam and I believe it has no place in a civilised country, not until it reforms root and branch and outs those within it who do these despicable acts!

And so the truth slowly emerges

As I indicated in this blogpost here, the truth about the EDL's involvement in Bradford is slowly emerging, though again not before the initial damage is done.

BBC.
Two men are facing charges, three have been fined and eight people have been bailed after two rival demonstrations in West Yorkshire.
The right-wing English Defence League (EDL) and its Unite Against Fascism (UAF) opponents held separate protests in Bradford on Saturday.
Fourteen protesters were arrested after several skirmishes broke out.
Police said a 37-year-old Bradford man and a 23-year-old Walsall man had been charged over the incidents.
The Bradford man is charged with possessing an offensive weapon and has been bailed to appear at the city's magistrates' court on 8 September.
The Walsall man has been charged with a public order offence and has been bailed to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on 6 December.

Six men - five from Bradford and one from Wakefield - and two youths from Bradford have been released on bail while inquiries continue.
They were arrested on suspicion of offences including wounding, violent disorder and criminal damage.
A 42-year-old Wolverhampton man, a 23-year-old man from Birmingham and a 24-year-old man from Halifax were released from custody after being issued with fixed penalty notices for disorder.
A 32-year-old Bradford man was arrested on suspicion of assault and later released without charge.
The cost of policing the demonstrations is expected to be "several hundred thousand pounds", police said on Sunday.
Hundreds of officers from West Yorkshire Police were supported by colleagues from 13 other forces during the operation to keep the groups apart.
Police contained several hundred EDL supporters behind a temporary barricade in the city's Urban Gardens as about 300 people gathered for an event hosted by UAF about half a mile away at the Crown Court Plaza.
Now I'll admit it's entirely possible that the Bradford men were members of the EDL, I do think it a bit unlikely though. Though out of 14 arrests, 9 appear to have been locals and it's entirely possible that those from out of the area weren't from the EDL either. So I'm going out on a bit of a limb here and saying that the violence at the EDL demo was almost entirely that of the counter-protesters. Not that you'll have gotten that impression from reading the MSM or the police reports, though it does confirm to an extent that what I watched from the live feeds was what was really going on.
Even then in this report, you can see some damage limitation going on with the last paragraph, "several hundred EDL supporters behind a temporary barricade in the city's Urban Gardens as about 300 people gathered for an event hosted by UAF" Several hundred? the initial police figures released were 700, however a quick bit of checking shows this figure to have been released before 15 coaches of EDL supporters turned up, well before their static demo started. Nor is there any explanation as to why the counter protesters were allowed to come so close to the EDL demo (a stones throw away, or perhaps a smoke bomb throw away). Note the usual "Far Right" disclaimer thrown in by the BBC too as this is the MSM and state code for extremists.
Unfortunately as I said the damage is done now and these reports will not be the ones remembered save by a few of us who are interested in what really happened. The initial reports alluding to the fact that it was the EDL who were responsible will be the ones that the general public will remember, reinforcing the states position that they are football hooligans, I have to admit though that in many of the comments on the demo in the MSM, members of the public don't seem to be being fooled quite as much as the state would like, though naturally these people are derided as EDL clones.
Still, the truth will out and sooner or later a reckoning will come where the evidence against the UAF and its pro Islamist allies becomes overwhelming and no amount of cover up will be able to hide the truth. As Delingpole has skewered the global warmists, the EDL need a journalist who is interested in the truth about what is actually going on, I hope they find one soon.
