True, but you aren't supposed to mention the war...

One of the pitfalls in today's politics is that pretty much anything you say, or have said or indeed with much of the mudslinging which goes on what they think you said whether you said it or not is that certain words and phrases will get you crucified come what may. Say something about minorities and unless you're a minority, expect trouble. Men saying stuff about women, expect the feminazi's to be on your case. Pretty much the same with criticising the green religion. One big no, no is also mentioning Hitler in a 'good' context (unless apparently you're a muslim and don't think he went far enough)
Telegraph.
A Ukip MEP has defended a seminar which taught young party members to emulate Hilter’s oratory style because the Nazi dictator was "evil" but “good at public speaking.”
Bill Etheridge, had been recorded encouraging students to “pick up little moments” of Hitler’s speaking style, describing him as a "magnetic and forceful" performer at a conference for the Ukip youth wing.
Mr Etheridge later dismissed criticisms of his comments as a “silly unpleasant attack”.
He told Sky News: “Hitler was an evil, monstrous tyrant but that doesn't mean he wasn't good at public speaking.
"I wish he hadn't been, but we must be able to discuss historical figures without being slurred as agreeing with them.
The remarks, condemned as "crass, offensive" and "really stupid", were made as the West Midlands MEP delivered a seminar on public speaking at Ukip Youth Wing’s Young Independence Conference in Birmingham.
Cue the usual suspects and the hints of he must be a Nazi as he said he liked Hitler etc by the Tories and Labour hoping to score political points despite the fact that Mr Etheridge also mentioned Churchill, Martin Luther King and Tony Blair. The truth is Hitler was a demagogue, a great public speaker who could inspire and enthral an audience. That he used his gift to promote and encourage a nation into collective madness is pretty much the case in point, the guy was for the first few years very popular and with military success had approval ratings most politicians would die for.
Part of the problem we have today with a lot of people is that they simply do not understand political speakers and will believe what politicians tell them because the education system has dumbed down to the point where tricks of speaking appear to be substance not fluff. That's why we have charlatans, rogues and thieves running the country because the gullible public believe what they say from the way they say it.
Bill Etheridge was right, Hitler was a great public speaker and that's pretty much all he said. yet the great Ukip witch-hunt carries on apace and the gullible out there will believe what they are told, not what actually was said.

Controlling the past

George Orwell in his novel 1984 wrote 'He who controls the past, controls the future,' adding also 'he who controls the present controls the past.' Orwell wrote it as a warning, the problem is many of the powers that be seem to have taken it as an instruction manual in how to run the state.
Mail.
Civil servants used government computers to update Wikipedia pages downplaying killings of Jean Charles de Menezes, Lee Rigby and Damilola Taylor
Electrician was shot dead by police officer at Stockwell tube station in 2005
Investigation finds Wikipedia page on death edited by government computer
Suggestion he was on drugs added, and immigration information removed
Pages on Lee Rigby and Damilola Taylor also altered to downplay deaths
De Menezes family spokesman calls page edits 'low and callous'
Cabinet Office says any breaches of civil service code 'will be dealt with'
In June a civil servant was sacked for posting offensive comments about Hillsborough disaster on Wikipedia.
According to a Channel 4 News investigation, users of government computers added inaccurate suggestions that the 27-year-old may have been on drugs, deleted information about his immigration status, and removed a section on his death from a page about the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
Changes were also made to pages on the deaths of Lee Rigby and schoolboy Damilola Taylor from government computers which downplayed their deaths, the investigation found.
The updates were made from computers using the government's secure intranet service, which is used by the civil service and police officers.
Now it may be simple malice or a desire to present things in the best possible light by individuals, though personally I suspect otherwise and believe the dead hand of the state is trawling through certain things and making sure that any controversy is removed before the public can read it. Not that it will always be politicians, but Acpo the company run by the chief inspectors of the police have also got an agenda via common purpose which is wildly at variance with what the public want. Others may such as in the case of Lee Rigby want to make sure islam and muslims names aren't dragged through the mud which may be the work of individual muslims, though knowing the states love affair with islam it may very well not be as witness the support they give to various groups who promote it and spew hate against those who oppose it.
Either way, it does appear that government and state computers are being used to rewrite history and downplay certain events and Wikipedia is the natural area to start as unfortunately it's the first port of call by many looking for evidence or knowledge and sadly it's also the last too. People tend to be lazy and will use a product to the exclusion of others such as Google and Wikipedia and the state has cottoned on to this hence their attempts to block Google reporting on their mistakes and rewrite Wikipedia to gloss over the past.
I suspect Orwell had it wrong in 1984, he meant 2084 and the problem we have is we'll never really know unless we remain vigilant.

Just words

The recent Ukip surge has politicians a bit rattled. Ukip stands for many things, but the main one is leaving the EU, however that's not the policy which has the main political parties worried. Ukip's anti immigration stance is the one where they believe they are going to have to act tough not quite realising that the second goes hand in hand with the first...
Mail.
The public has lost faith in government claims about tackling immigration because it does not tally with what they see on the ground, Nick Clegg will admit.
In a speech on immigration tomorrow, the Deputy Prime Minister will say it is ‘no wonder’ that people do not believe what ministers tell them when they have been ‘repeatedly told one thing only to then see another’.
He will speak out in favour of the free movement of European citizens but seek reforms to ensure that fewer Eastern Europeans move here if more countries are admitted to the EU in future.
Labour’s welfare spokesman Rachel Reeves will also call for reforms to the freedom of movement – to tackle benefit tourism – in a speech tomorrow.
Yes people have lost faith in the government mostly because we know they lie to us and unfortunately for the boy Clegg and Rachel Reeves they are lying to us about reforming the EU too as reform particularly on the free movement of labour (even if it is benefit tourism) is one of the cornerstones of EU policy and they aren't going to change it to suit us.
Nor is it EU immigration that really concerns people, it's immigration from islamic countries and the setting up of ghetto's of islamists who don't integrate, hate us and are just as big benefit leeches via their families who don't work and have severe medical problems due to generations of first cousin marital inbreeding.
The fact is, we've been pushed to the limits by mass uncontrolled immigration coupled with constantly being told that we have to be tolerant and tolerate the intolerable. We are the ones being called racist by the likes of the moronic left and their liberal fellow passengers. We are the ones who live next to the expanding ghetto's with their shariah law, intolerance, grooming gangs, homophobia, misogyny etc and we're told that we are the problem, not them!
What do people do when politicians and the political process fail them? They look to politicians proposing simple solutions. That usually means minor parties like Ukip, but it can also mean groups like the BNP too.
The next twenty or so years are not going to be fun in the UK, I just hope that the damage can be repaired in time. Either way, Clegg and Reeves aren't the solution, they and their parties are part of the problem.

The truth will out...

Actually the blog post title is a bit of a misnomer, there are I'm pretty sure elements of some truths that will possibly never be known (Kennedy assassination anyone?) and some where people won't believe the truth no matter what, because their god told them something else...
Still it comes as a surprise that the police are to publish a new set of figures telling us about rising violent crime after denying it was rising for years (mostly under the Labour government)
Telegraph.
After years of 'fiddled' crime figures, new data shows violent crime increased last year and could be set for a huge surge
Violent crime could be on the brink of a record rise in England and Wales after two police forces which adopted “open” and “ethical” crime recording policies showed a 25 per jump in violence last year.
The significant increases in recorded “violence against the person” offences in the two counties - Gwent, in south Wales, and Kent - are expected to foreshadow similar increases in other forces following widespread concern about police “fiddling” the figures.
Across England and Wales last year there was a surprise 1 per cent rise in violent crime recorded by the police to 614,400, or nearly 7,000 extra victims in the year.
The jump was partly attributable to the huge increases in Kent and Gwent, but another 20 forces also showed jumps in violence, including five with double-digit increases.
Because chief constables have come under massive pressure to ensure crime is recorded accurately, the rise is expected to continue in future statistics.
That's always been part of the problem for the police, they were saying one thing and yet people on the actual ground were saying something else. They said violent crime was falling, people knew otherwise and did not feel safe in some communities. So now a couple of forces who got their fingers burnt have produced other figures to suggest that far from falling, peoples perceptions of what's actually going on were fare more accurate than the police's use of statistics and the rather novel method of not recording certain crimes to make their figures look good.
The problem they have now is that once you're caught lying, there's always going to be the suspicion that you're lying in the future. It won't matter that they were following the politically correct dictates of their political masters, they lied, they are no doubt still lying. Their hubris in deciding they knew best by not recording or downgrading certain crimes has come back to bite them, they could tell us the sun will rise in the east now and we'd still be inclined to pop outside at dawn and check.
That's why truthfulness, or the appearance of it is always necessary in the public services, sadly most of them try to cover it up to make themselves look good and this is the result when they get found out, no one believes them ever again...

And whose fault was it in the first place?

Well gosh, Labour intend to do something about our addiction to cheap labour by immigrants. What they intend to actually do remains a bit of a mystery of course, the reason we have cheap labour via immigrants is because of EU laws, industrial need and Labour's ruinous policy of mass uncontrolled immigration from elsewhere.
Telegraph.
Britain risks becoming “dependent” on cheap migrant labour, Yvette Cooper will say today.
A Labour government would create laws to stop bosses using migrants to under-cut the wages of British workers, and the “serious exploitation” of migrants by businesses would be made a criminal offence, she will say.
Miss Cooper will also attack the Government for having a “worst of all worlds” stance, in which illegal immigration is getting worse while businesses are unable to find people with the skills they need.
Last month, James Brokenshire, the immigration minister, accused better-off families and big businesses of helping to support mass immigration by demanding cheap labour and services. Miss Cooper will say: “This kind of exploitation should be illegal. But the law isn’t working. We need change.
“The truth is that, for too long, exploitation in the labour market – a cause and effect of low-skilled immigration and illegal immigration – has gone unchecked.
Words, words, words... That's all they are, the only way to prevent immigration is to control our borders, to do that we need to leave the EU. Changing the law won't change a thing, particularly for EU citizens as it's illegal to treat other EU citizens as different to your own. Changing a law to prevent bosses from paying anything but the minimum wage just means the rest of us pay more as prices will rise and no doubt companies will still take on immigrants because they are prepared to do the work as our benefits culture means that a lot of people are quite comfy where they are.
This whole idea is simply ludicrous and won't/can't work, not unless we regain our sovereignty and can act in our best interests rather than the socialist wet dream of the EU and its insidious bureaucracy.
Cooper is just spouting the politicians mantra of saying what she thinks we want to hear, if she doesn't realise there's nothing we can do about it whilst being in the EU then she's either stupid or ignorant (possibly nay probably both)
Problem is there are some out there who will believe her... and vote for them...

Define extreme

Tim (Birdmincer) Yeo believes extreme Tories might just put voters off for voting for the party. After being deselected by his own party due to mostly not attending to his constituency and his insistence on green birdmincers being placed all over the countryside for his own personal profit he believes that somehow or other it's the fault of people he believes to be extreme, but who are probably just applying common sense with who are responsible for party numbers dropping.
Telegraph.
The Conservative Party is increasingly dominated by a “shrinking band” of members with “extreme” views on issues like Europe and same-sex marriage, an ousted MP has said.
Tim Yeo, who was this week deselected by the Conservatives in South Suffolk, said the party’s dwindling membership was leading it to take positions that are increasingly at odds with wider public opinion. He was the second sitting Conservative MP in a week to be sacked as a candidate by local activists, following the deselection of Anne McIntosh in Thirsk and Malton.
Mr Yeo’s critics said his deselection partly reflected his controversial business interests in the renewable-energy industry, but the MP suggested the move showed a wider trend within the party.
Interviewed by The Telegraph, Mr Yeo said that grassroots Conservatives were seeking to force MPs into ever-stronger opposition to the European Union and same-sex marriage. He has taken a moderate line on both issues.
“We have a shrinking membership which means you tend to get predominantly among those remaining activists people with probably more extreme views than the average Conservative voter and that applies on issues like the EU, on issues like gay marriage,” he said. Mr Yeo also warned the Conservative Party in Parliament was becoming increasingly unmanageable on issues like Europe, demanding that David Cameron take an impossibly hard line on the EU.
On the matter of same sex marriage, a lot of people believe that marriage is a male/female institution and a religious set of vows. Forcing churches, mosques and synagogues to perform same sex marriages was never going to be a vote winner despite what the gay movement believed. You want to alienate people, that was a good way to do it, if you want to persecute people and force them to act against their beliefs than you can't expect them to remain in a political party that ignores their views.
The EU is a contentious issue but mostly because the EUphiles of whom Cameron and Yeo are members and a lot of the Tory grass roots are anything but and do not like the government simply rubber stamping EU diktats and especially do not like the promise of a referendum taken away from them no matter how weasel worded the apology was. Nor does the fact that some people want out of the EU repel voters as Mr Yeo believes, otherwise Ukip would not be growing at both the Tories and Labour's expense.
No, what's put off voters from the political process is the fact that the political classes do not want what the voters want and have been caught like Mr Yeo with their hands in the till both literally and figuratively through directorships of 'green' companies sucking up taxes without giving value for money.
We're put of because they are lying, greedy pigs who have time and time again put their own benefit ahead of the countries and Mr Yeo led the bloody charge!
One day we'll hang them all...

Not a mistake at all...

The BBC have admitted to making a terrible mistake over immigration back during the previous Labour administration. A 'mistake' I believe that many at the BBC and associated leftards believe was no mistake at all.
Express.
BBC political editor Nick Robinson yesterday admitted the Corporation was too slow to acknowledge problems and concerns about mass immigration under Labour.
He said that the BBC made a “terrible mistake” in the late 1990s and early 2000s by avoiding a proper debate amid fears it would “unleash” a wave of racism.
As a result, the BBC, along with many in Whitehall and Westminster, had been too slow to recognise and reflect concerns or address evidence of problems brought by large-scale immigration such as falling wages and community tensions.
Speaking ahead of a documentary called The Truth About Immigration that he is presenting tomorrow on BBC2, he said: “In public life, in politics and, I accept, historically at the BBC (we) didn’t have a warts-and-all...debate about immigration.”
Their solution at the time mirrored that of Gordon Brown was to label anyone who brought the subject up as a bigot, racist or right winger and essentially avoided the subject despite a growing awareness by the public that unfettered uncontrolled immigration was proving to be an utter disaster for communities, leading to factionalism, wage crisis and ghettoism along with the rise of islamist agitation.
No, this was no mistake, but deliberate BBC support of the then Labour government and an attempt to blacken the name of any group who pointed the finger at Labour and their new voting pets along with a tacit support of the EU from whom a tide of immigration was flowing and who left many skilled British workers struggling to find decent jobs paying a decent wage.
Still the BBC have come up with a solution, an absolute masterstroke if I don't say so myself...
A BBC spokesman said: “As we’ve previously made clear, this was a historical issue and we now believe our reporting is in the right place.”
Sorted... right?

Ignorance is bliss

At least according to Gwent Police who have come up with a rather novel way of reducing their crime figures.
Telegraph.
A police force which boasted the largest fall in crime in England and Wales failed to record dozens of incidents, a report found.
An investigation into Gwent Police's figures discovered half the reported crimes it looked at were incorrectly recorded by officers.
It comes months after Police and Crime Commissioner Ian Johnston accused former Chief Constable Carmel Napier of manipulating the force's crime figures.
Mrs Napier strongly denied this but quit in June after an order from Mr Johnston to "retire or be removed".
Gwent Police recorded the largest fall in crime in England and Wales for the year 2011-12.
A rather simple solution to the states insistence on documenting everything by way of league tables is it not?
Get to the top of the table by lying or misrepresenting the figures that you submit, after all it's what the climate change lobby have been doing for years and no one's pulled them on it (much) well by way of politicians anyway.
The problem is of course sooner or later you have to provide proof of your figures and that's where Gwent fell foul in it's marvellous little scheme to be the best of the best. It's like a 100 metre athlete claiming he can do it in under five seconds, sooner or later he has to prove it to someone other than himself. Still it does make you wonder who else is out there lying about things...
Cameron's 'this isn't islam' springs to mind as a more blatant example. As does Gordon Brown's 'no more boom and bust' too. Though picking on politicians saying idiotic things is a bit like grenading fish in a barrel. Other examples were/are the ever increasing exam achievements by our kids, despite the headlines from bosses and universities that they could barely read, write or do maths in some cases. The polar bears will all drown being another as their numbers are increasing and the voracious buggers can swim really well.
We are lied to on a daily basis, it's just nice to see someone finally getting pulled on it...

It's Labour, it's what they do...

Labour always like to position themselves as the guardians of the NHS despite having done more than any party to wreck the thing from within by increasing the bureaucracy ahead of actually healing and fixing people. They claim that the NHS is one of the wonders of the world, yet no one else has copied its design, they've all opted for better when they have a health service for all. Still, such is the political hot potato of a failing service, that i for one will not be surprised if Labour deliberately tried to squelch a report on failing hospitals during their tenure of office.
Telegraph.
The Cabinet Secretary has been asked to investigate whether Labour put “undue political pressure” on civil servants to “cover up” appalling standards of care at failing hospitals.
Stephen Metcalfe, a Tory MP, has written to Sir Jeremy Heywood to ask whether any breaches of the Civil Service Code took place in the run up to the General Election.
Internal emails show that in November 2009 Labour tried to stop the NHS watchdog from informing the public about failings at Basildon University Hospital, where patients were dying needlessly on filthy wards.
The dossier of emails, released under Freedom of Information, state that Andy Burnham, the then Health Secretary, was “furious” when “graphic details” of the care failings became public.
Separate emails suggest that Mike O'Brien, the former Labour minister of state for health, told the NHS watchdog that "anything you do is political" in the run up to the General Election.
Executives at the watchdog decided that "given the political environment" a report into standards of care across the country should be "largely positive".
In other words Labour decided that public didn't need to know that the NHS was failing under their watch. They tried to influence the results of a general election by putting pressure on civil servants to hide the facts... not that they'll have tried too hard with the Marxist CPSA, the unions pay-rolling Labour after all and none to willing to losing access to the money tree.
If this had been the Tories, the BBC, the Unions and the Labour Party would have been screaming to high heaven about it, as it is, Labour are in denial mode and the BBC and others are doing their best to deflect criticism away from this choice morsel of socialism in action.
There are still some out there who believe Labour are looking out for the welfare of the UK. The facts when checked show this is anything but the case, Labour as most political parties do, look after themselves.

A paltry sum

If a broadcaster invited along a guest speaker who told the viewers that it was ok to murder anyone who insulted someone else you'd expect that the broadcaster would face serious charges such as inciting violence, perhaps even being shut down...
Unless they are an islamic channel of course...
BBC.
The broadcasting watchdog Ofcom has fined an Islamic TV channel £85,000, for inciting violence.
It ruled in December that Noor TV had breached broadcasting codes after a host said it was acceptable or even the duty of a Muslim to murder anyone who disrespected the Prophet Mohammed.
Ofcom said the fine imposed today was so large due to the serious nature of the breaches.
But it stopped short of revoking the channel's licence.
Noor TV, which is owned by Al Ehya Digital Television, broadcasts both in the UK and internationally on Sky.
The programme in question, Paigham-e-Mustafa, was broadcast on 3 May 2012.
Presenter Allama Muhammad Farooq Nizami answered questions from viewers around the world about a wide range of issues relating to Islam.
One caller asked what the punishment was for anyone showing disrespect for Prophet Muhammad.
Nizami answered that "there is no disagreement about this. There is absolutely no doubt about it that the punishment for the person who shows disrespect for the Prophet is death."
It does occur to me that £85,000 is not a great amount, not in the broadcasting world anyway where revenues are quite high. It also occurs to me that any broadcaster that invites controversial speakers along should also make them very aware that anything they say that breaks the law will terminate the broadcast. Many radio shows use a one minute time delay to remove controversy particularly in talk shows where the unpredictability of the speakers needs a little added insurance.
The main problem is of course is what the islamoloon said was perfectly in sync with what muslims are expected to believe, despite our inbred politicians and associated leftards insisting that it's a religion of peace despite all evidence to the contrary.
So we have a sentence of death for anyone who disrespects a murdering, raping, child molesting, paedophilic, misogynistic, robbing, psychotic, lying, deluded, genocidal desert warlord who attached a false religion onto a war manual and set off to conquer the world.
It's difficult to see how the historical Mohammed can be insulted... unless the truth is seen as an insult...
Which to muslims, sadly it is.

Wonder how they'll blame this on the EDL?

Since the horrendous butchery of Lee Rigby there have been several attempts by media and politicians to try and shift the blame or ameliorate the circumstances around it, from the risible 'islam is a religion of peace' or 'this isn't the real islam' to the EDL (and other groups) are just as big a bunch of extremists and should be treated in the same way as the people butchering, bombing, abusing, calling for violence, raping our kids etc. Despite the facts that mostly the EDL has been on the receiving end of any such abuse and violence, still why let such a minor item like facts get in the way of the narrative. After all, it's much easier to blame the EDL for torching a mosque and print a very minor retraction weeks if not months later which no-one sees or remembers. Particularly as the most recent example had someone spray EDL next to it (It's looking more like an insurance job now, but no one is interested) Or casting aspersions that the EDL are suspected for burning down an islamic school (4 teens arrested, the locals however know that the teens are pupils of the school, not white English even though the MSM will not announce this)
So when this is announced...
Sky News.
Homes near to a mosque in Walsall are being evacuated following the discovery of a suspicious item, West Midlands Police say.
Army bomb disposal experts are currently at the scene and have this morning ordered the evacuation of around 39 homes in the immediate vicinity of the mosque.
The measure is precautionary while a further examination of the item is undertaken.
Police were called to the Rutter Street address at around 10.45pm last night following the discovery in the grounds of the building.
The item was then brought inside the building by a member of the public, police said.
The area has been cordoned off.
Now it's unlikely to be anything other than a hoax, but you can bet that out there the narrative is being prepared to somehow twist this into blaming it on those the state wishes to call extremists. Despite the fact that those 'extremists' have no history of bombing, burning or violence save only if being attacked themselves.
You can pretty much bet that if this is an improvised explosive device (IED) that the first real headlines will read 'Are far right extremists bombing mosques?' Despite the fact that the EDL and most of the groups they wish to label 'far right' are no such thing, or indeed far anything other than exasperated at the state and its minions pandering to an alien fascistic totalitarian violent control system masquerading as a religion.
The truth is getting out there though, it's even starting to percolate down into sections of the MSM and a few politicians. But don't hold your breath on anything changing yet. Expect a few more 'outrages' first before the state admits openly that there is a problem, even then I wouldn't expect them to admit said problem was caused by and exacerbated by the state.

Ah that word 'could' again

Politicians are inordinately fond of the word 'could' along with 'might' as they often use it to justify their political position as if it were the definite article, rather than a qualifier.
One of the reasons they do this of course is just in case at a later date someone comers along after the position they held has changed and called them a liar.
Telegraph.
Britain could lose out from trade deal if we pull out of EU, says David Cameron
Britain “would not directly benefit” from a multi-billion pound European Union trade deal with the United States if it pulled out of Europe, David Cameron has said.
Mr Cameron has pledged to give Britons a vote on whether to remain part of the EU if he is Prime Minister after the 2015 general election.
The Prime Minster was questioned about new EU trade talks with the US that could be worth £11 billion to Britain, the equivalent of £384 for every household, bringing two million new jobs and “lower prices in the shops. If Britain weren’t in the EU you would not directly benefit from an EU/US trade deal because we would not be in the EU.
Actually we won't lose out on any trade deal, both the EU and the USA will still wish to trade with us and we won't have any problem making our own deals to the benefit of us both.
Cameron I suspect knows this, but has to pander to the EUphiles in the Conservative party who are getting very edgy about the way public sentiment is going and the fact that their scare stories no longer appear to be working.
His other problem is that most people know he agrees with such sentiments but risks a leadership challenge if he openly comes out and says such a thing. A leadership challenge I suspect both he and the EUphiles know he cannot win.
So, he has to keep neutral on the scare stories and try to keep the EUskeptics on board as well, a balancing act he's supremely unsuited too.
Still, I expect him to make the effort qualifiers and all, the taste for power is strong in him...

Making it up as you go along...

The pro EUphiles must be getting desperate, they are peddling the 'leaving will cost jobs' myth and stamping their feet because no-one really believes them anymore.
Express.
TALK of leaving the European Union is damaging job prospects and is economically "irresponsible", according to the Chief Secretary to the Treasury.
And islam is a religion of peace, saying it doesn't make it so...
Liberal Democrat Danny Alexander believes Britain is in the perfect position to lead changes to the EU as large eurozone countries are politically and economically too weak to oppose reform.
Speaking to Manchester's Chamber of Commerce, Mr Alexander also vowed the Government would not be changing the course of its economic police, despite calls from a leading think-tank to increase investment in infrastructure/
He said: "Half of our trade is with Europe. In fact, EU countries trade twice as much with each other than they would without the single market - activity which is worth £3,300 per British household. Over 3.5 million British jobs are linked to that trade.
And this trade will stop if we leave? Is mr Alexander so stupid as to believe the EU will not want to trade with us even if we leave? They'll certainly want to carry on selling us stuff, after all, they sell us more than we sell them.
So, the pro EU Lib Dems continue to make things up whilst expecting us to believe them. Well I have some news for mr Alexander, more and more people are coming to the view that the fourth largest party in terms of voter support has it completely wrong on the EU and hence you are losing votes left right and centre.
Perhaps you should re-evaluate just why Ukip is doing so well...

The 'Jewish' conspiracy.

I'm sure we've all heard of the so called Jewish conspiracy so beloved of muslims and the left as well as the hard of thinking worldwide. Occasionally it's called Zionism, but at heart it's all about a group of people following a minor religion that somehow or other secretly controls the world. When I say 'secretly' I mean of course to everyone but muslims and the left as well as the hard of thinking worldwide. Apparently they run all the media, control all the worlds finances and they influence politicians as well as other powers that be. Oh don't be fooled by the lefts claims that somehow or other it's a right wing thing to hate Jews, it isn't, Nazism and fascism are not and never have been right wing creeds or politics.
Telegraph.
Labour has suspended a peer who is alleged to have blamed a Jewish conspiracy for the imprisonment he received over a fatal motorway crash. The Times has reported that Lord Ahmed, a Labour life peer, claimed that he received his prison sentenced because of pressure on the courts from Jews “who own newspapers and TV channels". Lord Ahmed, who in 1998 became the first Muslim life peer, is said to have claimed that the conspiracy was a result of his support for the Palestinians in Gaza. He is said to have made the comments in a TV interview in April last year while on a visit to Pakistan. Labour today suspended the peer "pending an investigation".
Remember this is the muslim peer who mowed down a man in a parked car after using his mobile phone to send or receive texts. Anyone else would probably have gotten more than 16 days, but such is the (imaginary) sense of victimisation and grievance felt by muslims everywhere Lord Ahmed has convinced himself that he somehow is at the centre of a plot to shut him up or get rid of him. This is despite the fact that he's doing a pretty good job of it all by himself.
Still, well done the Labour party for stepping in to suspend the idiot, something the Lib Dems could take tips over David Ward who is also convinced that somehow or other the Jews are responsible for all that ails the world.
Does it not strike anyone else as odd that 19 or so million Jews cause so much fantasy phobia in the minds of so many? After all, there are 1.5 billion muslims worldwide who are actually a bigger nuisance backed in many cases by some of the richest countries on Earth (the Arab oil states). When was the last time you heard of a Jew setting off a bomb on a train or bus, flying a plane into a tall building, murdering tourists at a disco? Oh sure I've heard all the fairy stories about Gaza, most of which prove entirely false when scrutinised and I laugh at the assertions of Israel being an apartheid state (I've been to South Africa, now that was real apartheid)
Still, it's what Goebbels called the big lie, keep it loud, keep it going and soon enough 'everyone' knows it's true.
That in a nutshell is the real 'Jewish conspiracy' the one where they are said to be the problem as opposed to being the victim.

Bloody Asians again

I keep harping on this catch-all term that the MSM use to describe attacks by basically people from the Indian Sub-Continent. Asia after all is a bloody huge place and technically Asian can be Chinese to Uzbecki and believe me they aren't similar at all. Though in fairness they do tend to use oriental when describing anyone from East Asia, which covers about 2 billion people.
Luton Today.
A man was attacked with an axe and a screwdriver in broad daylight in Lygetun Drive.
The 39 year old was walking at about 3pm on January 11 when a silver car pulled up close to him and a man got out and punched him in the face.
Three other men then got out of the vehicle and joined in the assault, hitting the victim in the face with a screwdriver and on the leg with an axe.
Det Con Martin Hart said: “The victim attended hospital for treatment and is now recovering at home.
“I believe there was a lady in Lygeton Drive at the time of the assault and I would appeal to her or anyone else who has information about this assault to contact the police, in confidence.”
All four offenders are described as Asian men, between 25 and 30 years of age and all got out of a silver four-door Honda car, possibly a Civic or Accord.
Why do I sense another greasy attempt to avoid using the M(uslim) word or perhaps the P(akistani) word or possibly the B(angladeshi) word? After all, we know what the code for Asian means, which I suspect the powers that be wish we didn't.
All this comes on top of a Baroness Warsi speech accusing three quarters of us of being islamophobes anyway, this being the same Warsi  who kept quiet about her business partnership with Abid Hussain, allegedly a member of Hizb ut-Tahrir. Sadiq Khan lifelong friend of Babar Ahmadinejad, a man indicted in the US on charges of conspiracy to provide material to support terrorists, namely, the Taliban and the Chechen Mujahideen, providing material to support terrorists and conspiracy to kill in a foreign country.
Thing is, we know we're being lied too by those on high, we know what the code phrases such as 'Asian' mean and we no longer take much notice of such insults or pre-noms such as 'right wing', 'fascist', 'racist' stuck before anyone daring to question an increasingly precarious status quo.
Until their is honesty in reporting and more honesty in admitting that there is a problem with certain adherents of a certain religion and its followers from the Indian sub-continent then the tensions will continue to rise until it gets completely out of hand.
The USA civil war had its roots in small beginnings and injustices.
A 'British' civil war is not out of the question if the matter of lies and misinformation about government policies and favouritism are not addressed to the satisfaction of the majority, not a minority.

This is a lie

David Cameron lived up to one if his nicknames the other day when he made an astonishing pronouncement about supermarkets and binge drinking, that nickname being Camoron.
Telegraph.
Middle class families are being charged more for every day food in supermarkets to subsidise cheap alcohol deals for binge drinkers, David Cameron has said.
The Prime Minister claimed that “a family with a reasonable drinking habit” was “actually subsidising the binge drinker” because supermarkets were increasing the price of food to fund cuts in the cost of wine, beer and cider.
The comments, to a group of factory workers in north Wales, provoked astonishment from supermarkets last night. The British Retail Consortium said the remarks were “nonsense” and demanded to know what the evidence was for the claims, while a spokesman for Sainsburt said the Prime Minister was "plain wrong".. But Downing Street stuck to its guns, citing an article from a medical journal in 2009 by a leading liver specialist which suggested supermarkets were overcharging for food to pay for cheap drink.
The clue is in the last bit in which a leading liver specialist 'suggested' supermarkets were overcharging on food. No doubt the leading liver specialist checked with the supermarkets or simply presumed that supermarkets were stupid enough to sell a popular product at a loss continually.
Thing is whilst supermarkets will occasionally put a 'loss leader' into their stores, it's likely to be spread over a wide range of products and is more likely to be a buy one get one free and may just be bread rolls or yoghurt's. What they don't tend to do is discount cheap alcohol, particularly at the bottom of the range or spirits.
Andrew Opie, the food director of the British Retail Consortium, said: “This is nonsense. What evidence? The Government’s own figures show alcohol prices rising at exactly the same rate as food prices.
Nonsense indeed though it's a bit milder than my thoughts about it being a blatant lie thrown out because the powers that be hate the idea that people might be enjoying themselves a bit too much or that somehow or other if they keep putting the price up people won't find something else (probably illegal) to help them forget how hard life is a and just what a bunch of bastards the political classes are. Prohibition doesn't work, never has, never will the man in a van who sell cheap ciggies has proved that, he'll no doubt branch out into booze if the government makes it worth his while. I expect booze cruises to start up soon enough as well, if minimum pricing goes through, the retailers of Calais will be rubbing their hands at the idiocy of the UK government.
Research carried out by Sheffield University for the Government has showed that a 45p minimum would reduce the consumption of alcohol by 4.3 per cent, leading to 2,000 fewer deaths and 66,000 hospital admissions after 10 years.
The number of crimes would drop by 24,000 a year as well, researchers suggested.
The clue is in the last word...
Suggested...
The twats don't know but are saying stuff the government wants to hear, bit like climate change and the other green bollocks that the government use as tax grabs, because that's all minimum alcohol pricing is, in the end if it's government it's a tax grab.

Something to hide?

I have to admit that I was a bit surprised when a freedom of information request to see the 2003 Iraqi war cabinet papers was approved. I guess I should have known better, after all, there are a lot of suspicions about what just went on, who said what and just who was misleading who. So, it being par for the course, the Attorney General has stepped in to block the request at the last minute...
Mail.
Secret Cabinet papers on the decision to invade Iraq could be kept from the public for three decades.
The crucial minutes of ministerial meetings in 2003 were approved for release under Freedom of Information laws but blocked at the last minute by the Attorney General.
Dominic Grieve’s ruling yesterday is a repeat of the decision made by Jack Straw in 2009 over the same papers.
Sir Menzies Campbell said he was disappointed by the outcome.
‘The original decision to go to war against Iraq is still shrouded in controversy with many people arguing that it was the single most significant foreign policy decision since Suez in 1956,’ said the former Liberal Democrat leader.
‘In the interests of transparency I believe that these minutes should be revealed to the public, not least because there are very substantial questions about the extent to which the Cabinet was informed about the proposal to go to war with the US against Saddam Hussein or even had the opportunity to debate them.’
I doubt this will stop the speculation, most people are convinced the government was/is hiding something, possibly it's the speculation that there were no weapons of mass destruction, though the likelihood is they ended up in Syria, to the simple fact we were ordered too by the USA, though again it's probably more prosaic than that in that the decisions involved probably make the government look bad, or that certain politicians are still covering each others backs. Why this would affect the current government, God alone knows, you'd think that an opportunity to stab Labour in the back would have been an open goal, given how currently unpopular they are. Still we are talking Cameron here, the man who threw away an election, perhaps he doesn't want to be judged later in the court of public opinion.
I've no doubt that there will be specific leaks of the papers over the next 30 or so years, governments are like that, perhaps there will be the odd exclusive, no doubt served up by the BBC to present things in the best possible light. Whatever happens though, all this decision will do is confirm the suspicion in many peoples eyes that the government (or more specifically the political classes) have something really bad to hide.

Not really a surprise

The so called 'information tsar' (wonder where the tsar thing comes from??? Anyone?) has attacked the secrecy in which government departments cover their tracks. It's almost as if he's surprised they are doing it...
Mail.
Freedom of information laws are being undermined by the political establishment, a watchdog warns.
Information commissioner Christopher Graham claimed secret documents were being destroyed and Whitehall officials were using private email addresses to evade scrutiny.
He also criticised David Cameron, Tony Blair and former Cabinet Secretary Lord O’Donnell for labelling the legislation as a ‘horrible mistake’.
Mr Graham added that public criticism was ‘driving bad behaviour’ and possibly illegal activity in Whitehall.
The thing that seems to be escaping politicians and civil servants about public criticism is that they're actually supposed to work for us and do what we via the electoral system ask them to do. The fact that they're acting illegally to avoid criticism suggests that they are up to stuff they shouldn't be.
The Act, passed by Labour in 2000, has been criticised by senior political figures as hampering effective government because of fears that communications involving civil servants, ministers and the Cabinet may be made public.
Wonder whatever happened to nothing to hide, nothing to fear, it's not like they're going to publish state secrets, just the dirty little deals which they don't like the idea of the public finding out about. Which begs the question why make them in the first place? Particularly if they know the public won't like them.
In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, Mr Graham claimed his office had evidence of the destruction of public documents but could not prosecute because of the tight six-month limit on building a case.
He also suspected that the use of private email accounts was widespread in Whitehall.
Now I know that occasionally there have to be speculative discussions (People do it all the time in pubs, it's called putting the world to rights) And I accept that occasionally that saying or thinking out loud the unthinkable ought to go on. That said, such acts can be dealt with by putting in the term speculative and should only become a matter of public concern if it's acted upon without a full 'public' discussion.
The very fact that Whitehall departments are shredding evidence of their 'wrongdoing' does suggest that there is a hidden agenda behind much of what is said or discussed openly in government. the actions of the EU and its promotion within the state is one example that springs to mind, immigration, human rights, asylum seeking a few others.
All in all I view the freedom of information act a good thing, the very fact that the state has to rely on illegal methods to avoid it suggests it being strengthened rather than scrapped as a lot of MP's and government departments want.

Spreading the blame

I suppose it was inevitable that the powers that be seeing an attack (justifiably) on their pet Islamics that they couldn't brush under the carpet sought to shift the blame onto communities as a whole. So instead of concentrating on the mass sexual exploitation of young girls by Pakistani males, we're now supposed to look out for the mass sexual exploitation of young girls by... Well apparently by just about everyone.
Telegraph.
The Deputy Children’s Commissioner, who has been gathering evidence ahead of a report due in September, shocked MPs as she detailed the scale of the problem and gave graphic illustrations of what is being done to children in communities across England.
She said that although the Rochdale case involved one particular “pattern” of men from one ethnic background abusing girls from another, these different around the country.
“What I am finding, I regret to say, is that there are parts of every single community – white, Pakistani, Afghan, Gypsy and Romany traveller, you name it – who are seeing children as easy access in terms of sexual exploitation. In terms of victims, we are seeing the same kind of profile.”
In London, black gangs were attacking black children while on an estate in the north of England, white men were pursuing white girls.
Mrs Berelowitz agreed the vast majority of people in each area were horrified by what was happening, but added: “There are always horrible people within every community who will take every opportunity to hurt children, but they are a minority.”
Doe sexual abuse of children go on? Yes, sadly it does, does it go on in all communities? Yes sadly it does. Is it carried out on a factory scale by certain elements in every community? Well, no, frankly the evidence isn't really there to suggest it does, save only in one community, that of Muslim Pakistani males.Which is what makes this report so dangerous as it will fuel denials for the Pakistani community that it is a problem specific to them followed by the usual 'et tu' defence when they are finally pinned on it.
What the powers that be are doing is attempting to shift the blame from Islamics onto other communities, where there might be a problem, however that problem judging by a quick check of the headlines is few and far between.
After all, think for a minute, if there were mass sexual abuse of young girls by white 'English' on any estate, town, or city in the UK do you not think we'd have heard about it? How no stone would be left unturned until those who had perpetrated this outrage upon society had been brought to book?
I recall no such evidence, I recall no such headlines.
I suspect we're being played for fools again.

Tears of a clown

Ken (tax avoider) Livingstone the arch hypocrite of the London mayoral race apparently did an election broadcast where he got all tearful at the praise he received from "ordinary" Londoners for his policies and manifesto. Lot of people got suspicious at this point and suspected he was play acting...
Express.
KEN LIVINGSTONE, who wept while listening to “ordinary” Londoners support him at the launch of his mayoral election broadcast, has admitted it was all a clever PR stunt.
Labour’s candidate, 66, confessed yesterday they were activists reading ad agency scripts.
But his spokesman said the tears were genuine. “He does get moved,” he said.
Not really too surprising, Labour do have form for this after all and it was a tad suspicious the gushing compliments anyway, anyone who has had to live under Labour rarely gets that worked up about their generally disastrous policies at the best of times. Still, what kind of person gets genuinely moved over their own propaganda?
Mind you, this is the Ken Livingstone who wants to make London a beacon for Islam, despite the wishes of the majority of people in the city who already think it's a bit of a beacon for them anyway, certainly seems to attract more than its fair share of them to the profound relief of certain parts of the country. This is the same "quaint" group that threatens shop assistants for not covering up, puts up anti-gay stickers, declares shariah controlled zones and wants to turn the UK into the kind of hell hole that Muslims generally try to get away from. He also apparently wants to give them more money or at least make their lives a bit easier financially. Which I suspect comes down to the same sort of thing.
They say that people generally get the government or the leaders they deserve...
I don't think anyone deserves Ken Livingstone as a mayor.
