Protesting

I believe people have the right to protest so long as they keep to the law, I also believe that when enforcing the law the police should be obedient to the law as well. That's why I think Muslims Against Crusades had the right to protest against President Obama's visit yesterday however what I know of the events suggests a far different picture to the one presented in the MSM though that's bad enough.

Muslim activists descended on Downing Street today in protest at Barack Obama's state visit to London.
As the president met David Cameron in Whitehall, an angry crowd of burka clad women as well as protesters from Muslims Against Crusades gathered on the streets outside.
They were joined by a number of prominent campaigners, including Anjem Choudary.The radical cleric said that President Obama has made himself a 'legitimate target' for Muslim extremists after the killing of Osama bin Laden.
He called for Mr Obama to be dragged before a sharia court over his role in the war in Afghanistan.
Speaking before the march on Downing Street Choudary said Mr Obama was enemy number one for Muslims.
Choudary said Obama was an 'even greater killer of Muslims' than his predecessor George Bush.
He said: 'Just like Osama Bin Laden is the number one enemy for the west, Obama is for Muslims.
'He is a war criminal, it goes without saying. He has slain more Muslims than even his predecessor George Bush and has overseen the escalation of the war on Islam.
'He must be arrested and face a sharia court for his crimes.'

Now you'd think from that, that the protest was noisy but legal, what the MSM did not say was that the MAC attacked the counter-protest.

  Protest Against M.A.C (details from people on the ground)

Today we decided to hold a counter protest against MAC, Surey division could only bring 6 lads, there where about 30 of us in total, anyway after a bit of banter and shouting at MAC we decided to go grab some food from mcdonalds, there was 8 of us that went there, anyway after a min or two 4 MAC members went downstairs to the toilet and where in their for about 10 mins so we decided to take a look, couple where on there phones had a bit of a confrontation with the but little did we fucking know they had ordered about 30 fuckers to come charge at us, we stood our ground as they threw bottles, glass, knifes yes fucking knifes! how they got them there fuck knows!.
We ran across the street fighting against them, some members of the public got involved 8 removal lads jumped in to give us a hand, but just shortly after that in a spit second police where there to brake it up.
after a search and a couple of warning we where told to go down a road, take a right then another right and we would be put in a pen to protest against MAC, we followed the police orders but after we got around the second corner we where immediately spotted moved to one side and fucking arrested ! set up by our own police force ! 3 of the coppers thought this was un justified and wrong and told there Sergeant it was wrong to arrest us, but no they carried on!
anyway to cut a story short 8 of us got nicked, but released an hour or two later without charge!
what a day though, complete piss take !

So not only did the MAC use violence, the police detained without charge several members of the EDL. Oh I'm sure the excuses can be trotted out that it was for their own safety and I'm sure the charge that MAC were armed with knives will be denied. But this eyewitness report is from someone I personally trust and who isn't known to me for being a liar or for inventing things.
I've checked through various sources and I can't find any mention of there even being a counter-protest never mind any violence or arrests (though I do know several MAC members were arrested too)
So we have the MAC breaking the law and the police abusing their authority and yet no mention of this makes it into the MSM.
Makes you wonder what else is going on that never gets reported.
