Sky lies

Sky News reports that during the EDL/UAF static demo's yesterday...

Powell said around 200 EDL protesters broke through a police cordon at the end of the demonstration and attacked the Sky News truck and a police car.
"Protesters started to charge against the cordon and it was clear the police were not going to be able to hold them back," Powell said.
Yet an eye witness account here...

I was in Leicester today with my wife, and was caught up with the demonstrations of the EDL and UAF.
Now I am no friend of the EDL or UAF, but as a shop steward within a national industry, I am fully aware of the beliefs of both political ism' of the political right and left.
I am a firm believer in the truth, but what I saw today was very different from what the media has told us. Yes I saw the EDL being very vocal, which was intense, but I saw no extreme actions from the EDL. What I did see was extreme behaviour from the UAF, which seemed focused on encouraging the Muslim population to riot.
The attack on the sky van was not by the EDL as reported, by Sky, but rather by the UAF.
We was stood by the sky van watching the demonstration, when my wife was attacked by the UAF because she had a St Georges flag on her T shirt.
Now being ex military I am actively involved in charities looking after ex and serving military personal. What I am hearing tonight from the military internet sites is very alarming, as 25 UAF thugs attacked 6 soldiers outside Leicester train station today. From what we understand the squaddies gave the UAF a bloody nose, and amazingly the police let the UAF go without any charges.
As ever the media seem to gloss over the activities of the Brownshirt UAF whilst constantly harping on and villifying the EDL. Now as you may be aware as an English nationalist, I'm no real friend of the EDL, the only English thing about them is the name, they are first and foremost a British organisation, holding up British working class values. Yet every time I investigate just what is going on at their demo's I come away with a completely different version to the "official" MSM version. More often than not it's the numbers involved, then it's the slanting of the story to paint the EDL in the worst possible light. Even down to plain outright lies, and the public is starting to notice which is making the denunciations and spin all the more aggressive as I believe that the establishment have realised they are losing control both over their thugs and the people of this country and their natural tolerance.
The John Cruddas CIF article is typical of the establishment and the left in this country, they see a threat yet can't understand why or how it's happening. Yet it was Labours desire to rub the "Right's" nose in multiculturalism that undermined its own support from the working class. The "Righteous" left of the Islington set (the so called champagne socialists) have no real idea of the damage they've done to working class communities by attempting to supplant them with a foreign and intolerant religious group. Nor are the "Common Purpose" trained senior officers aware of the alienation that is becoming ever more apparent where the police are seen as the enemy.
People are starting to see through the lies and the cracks in the system are becoming ever more apparent.

If we ban them, will we still keep an eye on them?

So Islam4UK are to be banned for holding extremist views.

Guardian.
The Islamist group Islam4UK, which planned a march through Wootton Bassett, and its "parent" organisation, al-Muhajiroun, will be banned under new legislation outlawing the "glorification" of terrorism, Alan Johnson announced today.
The order, which will come into effect on Thursday, will make it a criminal offence to be a member of either of the groups, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
"I have today laid an order which will proscribe al-Muhajiroun, Islam4UK, and a number of the other names the organisation goes by," Johnson said. Other names are Call to Submission, Islamic Path and London School of Sharia. The group is already proscribed under two other names – al-Ghurabaa and the Saved Sect or the Saviour Sect.
Johnson said that proscription was "a tough but necessary power to tackle terrorism", adding that it was "not a course we take lightly".
The decision, based on months of monitoring the output of websites and comments by senior figures, will have to be endorsed by parliament. Al-Muhajiroun was founded by Omar Bakri Muhammad and Anjem Choudary, and has been operating in Britain since the mid-1980s.
All well and good, but I suspect they'll just found another group and so on ad infinitum, what they really need is their citizenship revoked and carted off to Shariastan where they can live the life they so desire at their own expense. That however is the authoritarian in me speaking, the libertarian in me says let them believe what they want so long as they don't affect me and mine, problem being that they do and they support those who want to do me and mine a great deal of harm, they're unlikely to persuade me to follow their lunatic version of Islam either, certainly not by the violence they support.
Another group that Mr Johnson should also be looking at is the UAF, they too support violent protest and believe in silencing any and all dissent of alternative views albeit coached in terms of fascism, something whose methods they fully support despite their opposition to the supporters thereof.

However I doubt that Mr Johnson will do any such thing, the UAF are the governments brownshirts and they have a measure of control over them, something they'd lost with Islam4UK, which I suspect is the real reason for the ban.

We're going to do something about this................no honest.

I always thought William Hague to be a EUsceptic, now I'm not so sure, he's certainly not acting like one, perhaps he's getting on a bit and sees the lure of a huge wage coupled with an easy life on the EU gravy train? Who knows, but he's definitely not the man I remember, though to be honest I never really knew him at all.

William Hague: Tories would not take on Europe for some years

After abandoning plans to hold a referendum on Europe, following last week’s ratification of the Lisbon Treaty, Mr Hague said the Tories accepted that constitutional reform would not be on the EU agenda for some years.
And while the party remained Euro-sceptic, a Conservative Government would not get into a “bust-up” over its new policy of seeking to negotiate opt-outs in a number of areas of European policy and pass a sovereignty bill to stop further powers being repatriated for some time to come.
Until then, he agreed that it would effectively be “business as usual” for Britain within Europe under the Tories.
Mr Hague’s admission came as Euro-sceptics in his party warned that David Cameron, the Conservative leader, had just 18 months to make “real progress” on his promise to forge a more arms-length relationship with the EU.
One Tory backbencher told the Independent on Sunday: "We have agreed to keep quiet on this before the election, but if things do not start happening in the first year or so, there will be all-out war for a referendum."
Seems Hague and call me Dave are spoiling for a fight, though oddly enough it's with their own party and not with the EU, or perhaps given Cameron's gutless wimping out over any sort of referendum it's not so surprising. 18 months say the EUsceptics, enough time to get elected and start sorting out the economy and then time to sort out our issues with the EU.
So why come out with further delay? I mean they must know the issue isn't going to die, if anything it's likely to come back and bite them sooner rather than later knowing the way the EU likes to grab power and run with it.
The longer they delay the worse it will get too for defections to the likes of UKIP, who are a serious threat to Tory interests in the way that the BNP are to Labour. They'll sooner or later alienate the electorate too, the English don't see themselves as European nor are our traditions those of the continents and the code Napoleon runs contrary to all our legal rights and traditions too.
The worst thing that Cameron and Hague can do is to do nothing, the pressure is building now, before they're in power and statements that they wont do anything for years (if ever?) are not going down too well with the EUsceptics.

Then again, perhaps Hague wants Cameron out and is just setting him up for a major fall with a true EUsceptic leader taking charge.

Just a thought is all.

Winning a battle, but losing the war.

One of the things my parents told me quite early on in my life was that if you have to resort to insults or violence to try and make your point then you've lost the argument.

So, I read this blog post by Iain Dale with interest and paid particular interest to the comments from the EUphiles on those of us who think Cameron has made a mistake/sold us down the river.

"A Referendum Challenge To My Readers"

Half The Story said...

Just left wing trolls & right wing euro-wingnuts.

Queer bedfellows.

Alan Douglas said...Judging by the hugely increased number of "I hate Cameron" posts yesterday almost immediately AFTER he spoke, the trolls have had this one planned for some time.

Quite right! I am sick and tired of the petulant whining coming from the troll squad.

johnwillman said...I commend James Higham's post as the perfect example of a wingnut view.

Unfortunately nothing will shut up the euro-bores. Like all one issue fanatics they are selfish and blinkered. Most of them are retired and prosperpous and they don't give a monkey's about anybody else. UKIP, like the BNP has absolutely no other policies so UKIPers - here's the door!

canvas said...Iain, It's a hopeless cause - these foaming at the mouth old skool Tories will never act reasonable.

Toby said...but the hilarious thing of this all, is that every tard saying 'waah wahh i'm now voting UKIP' hasn't the SLIGHTEST clue just how the kippers will manage their feat of pulling out the EU.

Surprised to see you joining the wingnuts.

norman said...Let us get this clear. It is not only UKIP Euro-bores

Nice to know what those who favour the EU really think about those who favour democracy and do not believe that the question of Europe is best left to our betters in Westminster and Brussels. The fact that the EUphiles have to resort to innuendo, insults and disingenuous twists to justify what Cameron really meant (as opposed to what he actually said) to fob off those like me who saw this as a betrayal shows the paucity and weakness of their case. They know were it to come to a referendum they'd lose hands down which is why they were delighted that "Call me Dave" said no and churned out a lot of meaningless rhetoric about never again, knowing fine well that if the EU has its way then there's not a thing he could do about it.

The EUphiles are trying desperately to get everyone to focus on the Cast Iron statement to avoid the questions on what now, because they know in their hearts that if people do start asking what now, then they lose. The fact that they have to resort to insults shows they're losing the argument anyway.

Still not getting it.

According to the Independent in their frantic attempts to play down the impact (or lack of) Nick Griffin on Question Time.

The truth about immigration: Citizenships granted fall by 35,000 in a year

Contrary to claims that Britain is being 'swamped', the net number of incomers to the country has dropped sharply
Britain's immigration rate is decreasing and we are far from being "swamped", according to an official report presented to the Foreign Office last week. The new figures, obtained by The Independent on Sunday, suggest the Government is starting to get immigration under control. They undermine gloomy warnings of "overcrowding" made by pressure groups and parties including the British National Party.
Applications for British citizenship have also shown a marked decline in recent years, as economic turmoil and government shake-ups have had an impact on the numbers attempting to settle in the UK.
The figures undermine the claims of critics such as the BNP leader Nick Griffin (below), who last week told a BBC Question Time audience that "it's time to shut the door because this country is overcrowded".
The number of foreign nationals entering Britain fell from 460,000 in 2006 to 441,000 in 2008, while, during the same period, the total of foreigners leaving rose from 173,000 to 237,000. The number of citizenship applications granted fell by 35,000, to 130,000, in a single year up to 2008.
Sounds brilliant, doesn't it? Well it might until you get the calculator out. 441,000 minus 237,000 still leaves  204,000 staying every year. Even if you take the citizenship alone, it's still going up by 130,000 a year. So at worst it will leave 4.75 million at best 2.6 million by 2030. This coupled with a natural increase of 5.6 million leaves 10.35 million (71.3 million in total) or at best 9.2 million (69.2 million in total)
(Figures taken from the BBC)

They really do think we're stupid don't they if they think that a population of 69 million is more desirable than 71 million. Plus coupled to the fact that this has been a deliberate Labour policy to encourage mass immigration to the UK to diversify us.
My anger at this current government just grows and grows as the truth behind their diabolical mismanagement and social engineering, what they wanted was a truly multicultural society, what they have ended up with is a more divided Britain than at any time in its history.
