Committing electoral suicide UKIP style

I support the English Defence League, I don't necessarily agree with everything they do, but that's ok, they probably don't agree with everything I do here either, nevertheless their core aims and mission statement along with getting to know individual members through debate on their forum will soon open the eyes of anyone who believes them to be knuckle dragging, semi literate, unintelligible, football hooligans. They aren't, many are what used to be called diamonds in the rough, but ignorant, they aren't and they are quite politically savvy these days having seen what the main political parties think of them. In other words the membership will probably not vote mainstream. There has been quite a debate on their forum about which political party they could in all honesty support, not officially by any means, they know how the MSM would react to the EDL coming out in support of most parties, you just have to note the "far right" tag pretty much preceding any mention of the term EDL, far right being media speak for Nazi/fascist/racist despite the fact that it has mostly been the left who supported racist policies and advocated the so called science of eugenics.
Still, the debate eventually centred on two parties, the recently formed British Freedom Party (manifesto here) and UKIP, both parties with aims to cut immigration and lead us out of the EU, something most people on the EDL forums at least support. However UKIP seem to have taken it upon themselves to commit electoral suicide by posting an extremely divisive membership statement...

Why, I do not know, the results will be that many like myself will no longer vote for UKIP, this is despite the fact that the EDL as such doesn't really have a membership, so it would be very tricky to try and prevent them joining, though because of this they probably wont go or vote where they clearly aren't wanted.
Perhaps some bright spark thought this was a good way to keep out racists? However a look through the EDL mission statement will soon tell you that they aren't racist, and Islam isn't a race anyway, it's a religion. It's also noticeable that UKIP will accept members from the extremist Socialist Workers Party and the vile Unite Against Fascism despite their history of violence and civil unrest.
Anyway well done UKIP, you've just lost several thousand potential votes through this, I hope you're happy.

Does it not seem strange that the leaders of the EDL are not English? Two Irish lads an Indian and a Rabbi are the leaders of the EDL, the English founder known as Lionheart booted out, as were English leaders such as Snowy.

If as you say the EDL are not racist why have a Jewish or Indian division? Or do the Jewish and Indian members not regard themselves as English?

Strange eh?

You make some interesting points with respect to UKIP QM. It is peculiar that it has not placed a ban upon former members of the SWP. Why single out the EDL?

Like many other parties, I think that UKIP must have some decent people within it, but ultimately it's a dead end. I did have high hopes for the BFP, but these have to a certain extent been dashed. Why? All will be made clear shortly as part of a proposal regarding the creation of a new party that does not aim to fish exclusively within the small pond of self-declared nationalists. Although I am confident that it will appeal to a certain number of disgruntled nationalist activists currently without an effective political home, it should exert wide appeal to swathes of the voting and non-voting public. The BFP almost got it right, but not quite. When the concept is revealed, I would be interested in your thoughts. All should be revealed within the next week.

well Anon, as Stephen Yaxley Lennon aka Tommy Robinson was born in Luton you really need to up your game here.
As for having various divisions, it's just a way for people to group together in opposition to islam on a like for like basis, after all you don't hear the left calling out against the Black or Muslim police associations now do you?

QM: It is indeed an odd decision by Ukip, but then they have taken quite afew odd decisions lately.

Like The Boiling Frog I have not renewed my membership.

WfW the discussion ongoing at patriot groups is that somehow or other UKIP have been infiltrated by various socialist groups, hence some nobhead claiming to represent UKIP in Hyde stating they would stand with UAF against the EDL march in Hyde over the 20 strong Muslim attack on a young boy there.

QM: It is also said that Ukip have been infiltrated by idiots.....

No-one in Ukip appears to wish to talk to me now, so.......

You may have noticed that I do not hesitate to take Ukip to task in areas that I know I am on solid ground.

Having seen responses to the email sent to all candidates by the Albion Alliance, those received from the Ukip candidates were, on the whole, pathetic. Having seen the Tories at work when I was vice-chair of Tory Sandhurst Central and their 'machine' at work Ukip aren't even in the kindergarten class!

They were both born in Luton, which when I last checked was in England...although you'd think it was in a third world country nowadays. EDL leaders Stephen and Kevin have first hand experience of what it's like to live in a town full of radical Islamists. They have sacrificed a lot for the EDL cause. Snowy and the Infidels however, are just a pathetic bunch of nomarks with no balls whatsoever. Probably never came face to face with a radical Islamist either.

UKIP is an Establishment construct - designed to absorb the anti-EU vote (initially the BNP).
UKIP's membership is screened by Searchlight.
This report kinda confirms that, doesn't it?
