This land was built from Blood and Tears
The sacrifice of 2000 years,
The Romans came, the Vikings, too,
So why would we be afraid of you?
But mark my words and mark them well,
It was 1066 since we last fell.
When it comes to a fight, we hate to lose,
So Respect our Men or leave……
you choose.

For The Fallen
With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.
Solemn the drums thrill; Death august and royal
Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres,
There is music in the midst of desolation
And a glory that shines upon our tears.
They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables of home;
They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;
They sleep beyond England's foam.
But where our desires are and our hopes profound,
Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight,
To the innermost heart of their own land they are known
As the stars are known to the Night;
As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust,
Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain;
As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness,
To the end, to the end, they remain.

MAC have been banned and have said they will not go (cowards) but I will be there to add my respect to those who fell in their countries service.

We do remember and nice to see this on the correct day, not Sunday.

I'm normally in complete agreement with what you write QM ..

Whilst I'm delighted that MAC have been put off attending, I feel it only right to point out that one cannot have it both ways ..

The fact that MAC won't be there means that Remembrance & commemoration of the fallen can proceed with the dignity and respect it deserves, which is only right & proper ..

Surely, that's all that any right-thinking person wants ? ..

I did not want them there either Captain, I just think they are cowardly scum.
The Ceremony went fine, though afterwards the EDL were kettled in a pub and no-one allowed in or out for over 3 hours, the police then went in with batons and dogs, why, is a little hazy, there was no trouble from my point of view as an observer, though I was not present if or when trouble erupted.

I agree entirely QM ..

TPTB are running scared of the groundswell of public opinion & simply don't know how to counter it ..

The EDL & BNP manifest as being the visible, overt representatives of that groundswell and so, will, inevitably become "targets of opportunity" for no other reason than it makes TPTB look & feel as if they're in control .. which, clearly, they're not ..
