Anyway, for those of us who are English and wish to support England, I'd like to introduce you to The Steadfast Trust charity for the ethnic English community.
So not a fake charity and unlikely to get any government money, which in my eyes as an Englishman makes it a cause worth supporting. I know many of you out there like to give only to causes that have no political agenda or are not funded by the government and this is one, like the RNLI in which your money will go to help those who should be brought up to be proud of their country yet have been abandoned by successive governments and the political establishment to see the English as something we are not. No other nation in the UK has had the vilification that the English have had to put up with, where our flag is described in the media as that of hooligans where politicians have apologised for our history and tried to pretend that somehow British = English, but only to the English, never to any other national group. The Steadfast Trust is the first and only registered charity which undertakes work specifically for the ethnic English community. It exists to promote the education, legal rights, welfare, and overall interests of the community within England. Our work is driven by the belief that the English, and in particular the young, would gain greater self-respect and self-confidence if they had a better appreciation and understanding of their unique culture and heritage. There is growing evidence from various reports (view reports) that many English school children are falling behind those from other ethnic groups. They are also increasingly engaging in anti-social behaviour and leading increasingly unruly and destructive lives. Bold action is needed to tackle these problems.
We believe that the English are a community like any other and that our Englishness should be promoted as something that is positive in our lives and the lives of our children. A strong sense of communal identity helps develop a strong sense of communal responsibility; it helps bring people together and counter the alienation from society that many feel. The young people of all ethnic groups should feel confident in who they are and should be inspired by their own cultural background to reach their full potential in society. We aim to promote practical schemes that will help bring this about for the English.
It is of the utmost importance that our charity grows and prospers. Unlike the charities and communal organizations which pursue the interests of other ethnic groups, it is unlikely that we will receive any public money. We will have to find the necessary resources from within our own community. We are confident that the English can show the same ambition and enterprise that has enabled other communities to build cultural institutions that further their interests and address their needs. There is much to do but we at the Steadfast Trust are eager to get on with the task that faces us.
The fightback began after devolution, the English are slowly awakening to see what has been done against them, this charity is a start, I hope you will give it moral support if you cannot give it financial support.

When you start changing the goal posts you cause future problems and you appear to do just this.
You call yourself a civic nationalist, yet I am continually confused by people who choose promote their culture, who firstly do not live by that culture. You are, ironically a globalist, as you have been brought up under a globalist culture. England, since the 50's has been a multicultural land.
I hate to break it to you but English, that is to be defined as English means you not only practice indigenous English culture and traditional ways, but you must also be of Angle, Saxon, Germanic, Roman heritage. You cannot be non caucasian (mixed race acceptable due to parental status) and be English. In fact you cannot be non Caucasian and of any European culture.
Ironically still, to be called English, many today are not. That is they are not of the Angles, as some, down in Cornwall for example, are still pure Celtic (Briton) stock. It is these people down in Cornwall who are the true indigenous of England. And ironically still the Celts up North (along with the Welsh and Cornish) the true indigenous of these lands.
As I said to another in a previous reply, you choose to turn the cube into a sphere and still call it a cube. You are either of English ancestry or you are not. You can't pick and choose, for in doing so you insult those who are truly indigenous and can truly call themselves English.
Look at it this way, if over the next 20 years 30 million Africans arrived and all interbred with one another, with 30 million indigenous moving to Australia, their children would become Australians and the Africans in England would become English in your books. We would be at the utterly ludicrous situation that Britain would have 50 or million so African origin peoples calling themselves English to a 20 million minority of English indigenous. Would you still agree with that? Now go another 20 years down the road and 30 million more migrants from Africa? Would they still be English? being the massive majority with no cultural ancestry to this land with the rest of the indigenous whites moving to Australia, Canada, USA or Europe?
You either are or you are not. You cannot pick and mix nationality.
I am not a nationalist, although I see the ideals of nationalism. I was but no longer am for understanding the bigger picture, that is, there is really no indigenous culture left in the UK. There is but that's only practiced in sparse areas of the UK. You are a globalist, whether you like it or not. You may think otherwise, but this is just the reality of the situation.

Actually I'm more a localist, with a love of my country and those who choose to call themselves English.
I see no reason why skin colour should make any difference to the choice to call yourself English having been born here or fully integrated into English culture if that is what you want to be.
Quiet_Man,
"fully integrated into English culture"
That's the point. There is no English culture. It no longer exists, apart from sparse places here and there. The same can be said for Scottish, Irish and Welsh.
The culture that is in the UK is multiculture - globalist culture. The practices, languages (culture, traditions) of the Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Picts, Celts etc no longer is. This is reality.
Indigenous cultures die through mixing with alien cultures to form multicultures. Look throughout history to see just this. Where are the Picts? Where are the Celts? Where are the Aztecs, the Mayans, the Romans, the Carthaginians etc etc etc? You may call yourself English, but really you may as well call yourself African, West Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Turkish or whatever nationality you may, for your culture no longer exists and having had it adopted (what little there was left) by alien immigrants proves this point overwhelmingly.
You will understand what I'm saying maybe one day, but in the mean time, your acceptance that anyone can become English, Irish, Scottish or Welsh is incredibly insulting to those who are indigenous English, Scottish, Welsh or Irish. Why? Simply because they are proud of their culture and ancestry and it's an exclusive club. More so, they realise more than any that history has spoken to the damage of multicultures and migration of peoples.
It's impossible to be of a culture unless you are of that culture indigenously. Those who believe otherwise obviously don't really understand about indigenous peoples and their cultures. Obviously I am implying you Quiet_Man, but let's be realistic here, you are forgetting about the impact of multiculturalism on history, for it has wiped out many cultures and you ironically continue to promote it as a civic nationalist, which ironically is a contradiction in its terms. You can be citizen living in England but that does not automatically make you an English citizen. The same also applies to British. How do you think people feel when indigenous English speak of their wars with the Zulus, sitting next to an African, who you may believe is English of Zulu ancestry? This is where we have conflict, between peoples through historical events.
You either are or you are not. It's really that simple and civic nationalists, only go towards helping the division within the nationalist movement. It is not through hate ethnic nationalists are what they are, but through live of their culture and ancestry and their desire to continue it, not see it destroyed like many within the pages of history. Civic nationalism is cultural and identity suicide. Ethno nationalism is the only true way of stopping cultural and indigenous people genocide. And because they promote this they are called haters. How appropriate for the globalists, culture destroyers and the New World Order?

Oh I see your point harbinger, the problem is it isn't really relevant. Angles came from Angelm in Germany, Saxons from Saxony, Jutes from Jutland. My surname betrays Viking roots, my good lady's Norman or possibly Huegenot. You cannot use ethnic roots to describe a culture or nationhood here, yet we have a history which goes all the way back to pre Roman times and beyond. Despite my roots coming perhaps from Norway that history is mine and I don't look to Norway as being my spiritual home.
The English are who the English want to be and it's an open invitation to be English, always has been.
"Oh I see your point harbinger, the problem is it isn't really relevant."
Au contraire, it is, incredibly so. You either are or you are not. I'm sure the donkey that runs with the horses wishes it was a horse, but regardless it will always be a donkey.
It is exactly this reason of civic nationalism that is so incredibly laughable it's totally beyond any logical reason. As I've had debates with others on this, especially African parented blacks born in the UK who think they're British, English...whatever, there will always be those, completely oblivious to reality, such as yourself, who do not see that allowing others in from other lands to become part of that culture eventually sees its destruction.
And you can use ethnic roots to describe culture and nationhood for what is nationhood and culture if it is not the fabric that binds the people of that culture together?
As an anarchist who respects the indigenous people's rights to live by their own culture and associate with their own peoples, it seems very much so that it is exactly the likes of you who are happily smashing nationalism to pieces with your insane beliefs on what is and what isn't English. You do realise that up until 1950, England was a white culture don't you? So in effect what you are infact implying is that English culture today is that which is from 1950 onwards and not what it was previously for hundreds upon hundreds of years? And yet even more laughably, the culture that is English from 1950 onwards is in fact not English but globalist? Would English people, indigenous that is, have seen the many blacks or Asians born in the UK as English or British back then? Of course they wouldn't have, so what's changed? Well it's simple - globalism/multiculturalism. And yet you think that English people are because they feel they are; because they were born in England and have grown up in what you believe to be English culture, even though that died out a long time ago?
I'm not going to bother going into it anymore as it appears that no matter what I write, you've already made up your mind.

P.S. Civic nationalism was created to destroy nationalism. Maybe one day you'll see that.
