Spin and lies, the words of Weasel Cameron.

Never again?

David Cameron has said "never again" to powers being transferred from the UK to Brussels without a referendum.
He said all future treaties would be put to a public vote as he outlined his new European policy after ruling out a referendum on the Lisbon treaty.
He also promised a sovereignty bill if the Tories win the next election to ensure the supremacy of UK laws.
And he vowed to demand powers back on employment law, the charter of fundamental rights and criminal law.
Mr Cameron has been forced to unveil a new set of policies on Europe after being forced to abandon a pledge for a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty, which is now to come into force on 1 December.
He has been accused of backtracking on a "cast iron" pledged to hold a referendum, but he said: "I did not promise a referendum come what may, because once the Lisbon Treaty becomes law there is nothing people can do about it."
  1.  Lisbon is self amending there's sod all Cameron will be able to do about any new additions to it.
  2. What future treaties? See above!
  3. You can't get sovereignty back unless all 27 other members agree to it, trust me it isn't going to happen unless we give something else in return and we've gone too far in that direction anyway.
  4. What new policies? This is just bloody spin to make him look tough, it wont work because it can't work!
  5. Cameron said
"Today, I will give this cast-iron guarantee: If I become PM a Conservative government will hold a referendum on any EU treaty that emerges from these negotiations. No treaty should be ratified without consulting the British people in a referendum."

No ifs, no buts, just a bare faced LIE!
You had your chance Mr Cameron, you could have allowed us to decide in or out, but you bottled it with meaningless words and platitudes. You can't set up any new referendums on sovereignty, because that's what we've just lost, there wont be any new treaties as the Lisbon treaty will be self amended to say whatever it is the EU wants it to say.

You're a liar Mr Cameron, same as Brown, same as Blair and if you lose the next election because of this I wont lose a wink of sleep over it no matter how much I despise Labour.

Nobody has been fooled. The papers, the blogosphere, nobody!

Next move Dave?

Some blogs have been fooled Sue, they believe Cameron can deliver despite the fact that the EU holds all the cards now save 1, the right to leave. Even then they have put in a 2 year cooling off period in order to bribe us to stay.

I've just put my ruler away and there are black marks all over the screen where I used my marker to vigorously underscore much of what you said here, QM.
